Battlefield: 1918 is a 2004 modification for the game Battlefield: 1942. Battlefield: 1918 is set during the First World War in multiple theatres and continents. The maps are often based on actual battles fought in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Equatorial Africa, and Asia. The mod has over 140 maps and 29 playable armies in addition to a wide array of weapons, ground vehicles, aircraft, and ships to create an authentic representation of the First World War. The mod also covers the Russian Civil War, Polish-Soviet War and the Polish-Ukrainian War in the included Battlefield: 1919 addon since 2023.

Villar Perosa M1915
The Villar Perosa M1915 is the standard submachine gun of the Italian forces, and is capable of being fired from the hip despite being intended as a lightweight bipod-mounted support weapon; while some were fitted with wooden stocks for offhand use, the in-game gun has neither a stock nor a mounting of any sort, leaving one to guess at how exactly it's even fired when one of the hands is in the way of the ejection port.

The No. 15 "Cricket" Ball Grenade is the standard grenade of the Ottoman forces and the Japanese. The fuse is lit with friction before throwing. In real life this grenade was only adopted by British forces; although the Ottomans used similar ball grenades.

The No. 27 Smoke Grenade was distinguished from other No. 27 grenades such as those with poison gas by a red stripe. In BF1918 the poison gas grenade looks identical to the smoke grenade.
No. 34 Mk. III Hand Grenade
The No.34 Mk.III Hand Grenade is used by the French and Belgian forces; In real life it was only used by British forces. A more accurate choice for a French anti-tank grenade might have been the Grenade Antichar Mle 1918. Despite being a rather light anti-personell grenade it is primarily used to take out tanks and armored vehicles (In real life it was meant to be thrown from trenches against infantry).
