Rifles and Carbines
Colt M4A1
Clearing the prison yard of walkers at the beginning of "Seed" (S3E01) Hershel (Scott Wilson) is seen firing an M4A1 with an Aimpoint sight from a watchtower. Another carbine is also found among the weapons in the prison and is briefly handled by T-Dog (IronE Singleton) in the same episode. Most of the National Guardsmen (including Bob Fisher, Philip Dido and Dwayne Boyd) including Private Sean (Troy Faruk) and Private Wilson (Matthew Austin Murray) are armed with rifles in "Walk With Me" (S3E03). One of The Governor's men named Crowley (Arthur Bridgers) uses the M4A1 with an optic scope and camo wrap during the episode. Merle (Michael Rooker) also takes another rifle fitted with a scope and makeshift suppressor from another guard (Dango Nguyen) and kills a walker from the wall at night. The next morning he uses a standard rifle during an attack on a National Army camp. Glenn (Steven Yeun) holds the M4A1 at the end of "Say the Word" (S3E05). Going to Woodbury in "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07) Oscar (Vincent Ward) takes the rifle with an Aimpoint sight and swaps with Rick (Andrew Lincoln) for a Mossberg 500 at the beginning of "Made to Suffer" (S3E08). At least one Woodbury resident (William Tokarsky) is seen with the rifle on duty guarding the wall in "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07).

Type 56-1
Due to a continuity error, Daryl (Norman Reedus) takes a Type 56-1 with a railed handguard out of the car trunk in "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07), however, Oscar left the WASR-10 there before that.
![](/images/thumb/5/50/TWDS3E07_02.jpg/600px-TWDS3E07_02.jpg)
WASR-10/63
Tim (Lawrence Kao) uses what appears to be a Romanian WASR during an attack on a National Army camp in "Walk With Me" (S3E03).
WASR-10 UF
Caroll (Melissa McBride) is seen firing what appears to be an WASR-10 UF rifle with railed handguard from a prison watchtower in "Seed" (S3E01). Before the trip to Woodbury in "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07), Oscar (Vincent Ward) puts the gun along with other weapons in the car trunk, but due to a continuity error it is later replaced by a Type 56-1 carried by Daryl later in the episode. Like the M4A1 above, this rifle was not among their weapons in the previous season, thus was most likely found in between Seasons 2 and 3, as the group was on the move for several months scavenging.

Unidentified Rifles
Woodbury guard (uncredited) is seen with an unknown rifle guarding the wall in "Killer Within" (S3E04). Another man (Jim Moulton) holds the camo rifle in "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07).
Shotguns
Mossberg 500
What is supposed to be Shane's shotgun from previous seasons appears again in Season 3. However, for unknown reasons, the Mossberg 500 is used instead of the Mossberg 590, also fitted with a heatshield and a KNOXX SpecOps NRS stock with pistol grip, which can be told by the different endcap. Going to Woodbury in "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07) both Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Oscar (Vincent Ward) carry the shotgun, but Oscar eventually takes it for himself during the fight in "Made to Suffer" (S3E08).

One of Woodbury guards (Will Gara) is armed with a Remington 870 Police Magnum guarding the wall in "Walk With Me" (S3E03).
Double Barreled Shotgun
While hiding from a horde of walkers in a house in "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07), Rick's group encounters a crazed hermit (Alex Van) with a Double Barreled Shotgun, but quickly deal with him. Browning M2HB
A Browning M2HB machine gun is mounted on a National Guard HMMWV that the Governor brings back to Woodbury in "Walk With Me" (S3E03). It appears to be a mockup identical to the one was fitted on the fake M1 Abrams tank in Season 1. Distrusting the Governor Michonne (Danai Gurira) checks the machine gun in "Killer Within" (S3E04).
Grenade and Rocket Launchers
M203
In "Walk With Me" (S3E03), Private Wilson (Matthew Austin Murray) is armed with an M4A1 affixed with a M203 grenade launcher.
Others
Bows
Arriving at the military helicopter crash site at the beginning of "Walk With Me" (S3E03) Shumpert (Travis Love) shoots a walker with a bow. Another Woodbury guard (Jim Moulton) is seen with a compound bow at the wall. Another guard (uncredited) is seen with the bow in "Killer Within" (S3E04) and another guard (Luther Thompson Jr.) is briefly seen with a bow in "Hounded" (S3E06). Crossbow
One of Woodbury's guards (Joseph Setticase) is armed with a crossbow guarding the wall in "Walk With Me" (S3E03).
Horton Scout HD 125
Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) continues to carry his Horton Scout HD 125 crossbow as his weapon of choice in Season 3 and uses it in "Seed" (S3E01) and "Sick" (S3E02). Daryl carries it behind the back in "Killer Within" (S3E04) and uses it in "Say the Word" (S3E05), "Hounded" (S3E06) and "When the Dead Come Knocking" (S3E07).
TRIVIA: During filming of the bridge scene, Norman Reedus accidently broke the Horton Scout HD 125 buttstock when he hit the prop walker. Because of this and also with Reedus finding the Horton crossbow to be clunky and uncomfortable to use, he asked the writers for either a new crossbow or a dog, to which the former was picked, thus giving him the Stryker Strykezone 380.
Stun Grenades
After searching the prison in "Seed" (S3E01), Rick's group finds some stun grenades and later uses them during confrontations with Woodbury.
Weapons Cache & Arsenals
Rick's Bag of Guns
Rick briefly carries another bag with a Mossberg 500 and bolt action rifle in "Seed" (S3E01). When they arrive in Woodbury the bag is left with the Governor, who checks the weapons from it in "The Suicide King" (S3E09).
