[[M4A1]] rifles, being rare in previous seasons, are now more common and being seen used by several of the survivors in Season 3. Since Rick's group didn't have these rifles at the end of Season 2, it is likely they acquired them in the interim between Season 2's end and the beginning of Season 3, a gap of several months. Hershel ([[Scott Wilson]]) can be seen using one in "Seed" (S3E01). An M4A1 is also found among the weapons in the prison in "Seed" (S3E01) and is briefly handled by T-Dog. <!--In "Walk with Me" (S3E03), M4A1s are carried by the Woodbury guards as well as Georgia Army National Guard soldiers, Merle ([[Michael Rooker]]) also fires one fitted with a makeshift suppressor. Other M4A1s seen in the series so far include at least one with an M203 grenade launcher attached, one fitted with a makeshift suppressor in use by the Woodbury guards, and flattop M4s used by the National Guard survivors. Rick is seen using the M4A1 in "Made to Suffer" (S3E08) and both him and Maggie are seen firing it in "The Suicide King" (S3E09). Michonne ([[Danai Gurira]]) uses the rifle in "Home" (S3E10). NOTE: See the Discussion Page for the weapons used in "Cold Storage" webisode.

The following weapons were used in Season 3 of the television series The Walking Dead:

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Revolvers

Colt Python

Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) continues to use his six-inch barreled Colt Python in Season 3. He first carries it in a holster in "Seed" (S3E01) and then threatens inmates during a conflict in "Sick" (S3E02).

Colt Detective Special

Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies) continues to use the Colt Detective Special in Season 3. She carries or fires it at walkers in "Seed" (S3E01), "Sick" (S3E02) and "Killer Within" (S3E04).

Colt Official Police

Daryl continues to use the Colt Official Police revolver in Season 3, but it is only seen in a holster on his motorcycle in "Seed" (S3E01) and "Say The Word" (S3E05).

The revolver is partially visible on Daryl's motorcycle in "Seed" (S3E01).

Smith & Wesson Model 442

In "Sick" (S3E02), one of the prisoners named Tomas (Nick Gomez) is armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 442 that was given to him by a prison guard at the beginning of protests. He threatens Rick's group during their first meeting, but then loses it.

Pistols

Beretta 92FS

Along with his BDA, Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) uses a Beretta 92FS with a improvised suppressor during the Season 3. He shoots walkers in "Seed" (S3E01) during a sweep of the prison yard. In the same episode, the group find several pistols in the armory and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and T-Dog (IronE Singleton) are briefly seen handling one. Andrea's (Laurie Holden) new companion named Michonne (Danai Gurira) gives her gun back to her at the military helicopter crash site at the beginning of "Walk With Me" (S3E03). A member of Woodbury's army named Shumpert aka "The Bowman" (Travis Love), as well as Private Wilson (Matthew Austin Murray) and some other unnamed National Guardsmen (including Bob Fisher) carry pistols in holsters in the same episode.

Carl (Chandler Riggs) aims the Beretta with a suppressor in "Seed" (S3E01). His suppressor appears to have been fashioned from an aluminum baseball bat.
Carl fires the pistol at walkers in the prison yard.
Several Berettas are found in the prison. The right pistol looks more like a replica of some sort.
Michonne (Danai Gurira) is seen taking out Andrea's Beretta and giving it to her after seeing the helicopter crash in "Walk With Me" (S3E03).

Beretta 92SB (Nickel)

Phillip Blake, aka The Governor (David Morrissey) carries a rare nickel finish Beretta 92SB with black grips as his sidearm in Season 3. In "Walk With Me" (S3E03), he keeps the pistol in a crossdraw holster and is first seen using it when confronting a group of National Guard survivors.

"We found you too!"
In "Walk With Me" (S3E02), The Governor (David Morrissey) pulls out and fires his nickel Beretta 92SB when confronting a group of National Guard survivors.
The Governor (David Morrissey) holds his Beretta 92SB after firing in "Walk With Me" (S3E03).

Browning BDA

Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs) continues to carry a Browning BDA in Season 3. He briefly points the gun at a waking Hershel thinking he turned in "Sick" (S3E02).

Browning BDA - 9x19mm Parabellum
Carl aims the Browning in "Sick" (S3E02).

Glock 17

Due to a continuity error at the beginning of "Seed" (S3E01), Glenn (Steven Yeun) carries the holstered Glock 17 instead of his 19.

Glock 17 (3rd Gen) - 9x19mm Parabellum
Glenn with the holstered gun is seen behind Rick in "Seed" (S3E01).

Glock 19

Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) continues to use T-Dog's Glock 19 with an improvised suppressor in "Seed" (S3E01). Glenn (Steven Yeun) and Hershel (Scott Wilson) also carry Glock 19s in "Seed" (S3E01) and "Sick" (S3E02).

Rick holds the Glock fitted with an improvised suppressor made from a flashlight in the prison yard in "Seed" (S3E01).

SIG-Sauer P226

Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) uses the SIG-Sauer P226 in Season 3. She fires at walkers clearing the prison in "Seed" (S3E01) and later carries it holstered in "Sick" (S3E02), "Say the Word" (S3E05), and "Hounded" (S3E06).

Smith & Wesson 3913 "Ladysmith"

T-Dog (IronE Singleton) continues to carry Andrea's Smith & Wesson 3913 "Ladysmith" and fires it in "Seed" (S3E01). He also carries the gun in "Sick" (S3E02).

The next day, the gun is seen tucked into his pants.
Theodore pulls the pistol during a confrontation with inmates in "Sick" (S3E02).

Vektor CP1

Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) fires a Vektor CP1 at the begining of "Seed" (S3E01) clearing the prison from walkers. For unknown reasons, this is the only scene where the gun is used.

Submachine Guns

Rifles and Carbines

Colt M4A1

Clearing the prison yard of walkers at the beginning of "Seed" (S3E01) Hershel (Scott Wilson) is seen firing an M4A1 with an Aimpoint sight from a watchtower. Another carbine is also found among the weapons in the prison and is briefly handled by T-Dog (IronE Singleton) in the same episode.

Hershel fires the M4A1 fitted with a backward mounted Aimpoint sight and fast mag pull in "Seed" (S3E01). Since Rick's group didn't have it at the end of Season 2, they most likely found it, as well as some other weapon, during their 8 month wanderings between seasons.

WASR-10 UF

Caroll (Melissa McBride) is seen firing what appears to be an WASR-10 UF rifle with railed handguard from a prison watchtower in "Seed" (S3E01). Like the M4A1 above, this rifle was not among their weapons in the previous season, thus was most likely found in between Seasons 2 and 3, as the group was on the move for several months scavenging.

Carol (Melissa McBride) fires the rifle from a watchtower. Note the open front sight. The trailer shot also shows the lack of a deepening above the magazine, the smooth buttstock, and the markings on the receiver that are characteristic for the WASR.
After shooting the walkers Carol comes down from the tower with the rifle in hand.

Sniper Rifles

Remington 700 VLS

Rick (Andrew Lincoln) uses Dale's Remington 700 VLS rifle with a Simmons ProHunter® scope again clearing the prison from walkers in "Seed" (S3E01). Carol also is seen with the rifle in "The Suicide King" (S3E09).

Springfield M1903 (Sporterized)

Clearing the prison yard Hershel (Scott Wilson) is briefly seen with a scoped Sporterized M1903 Springfield in "Seed" (S3E01). The rifle also used by Maggie in "I Ain't a Judas" (S3E11).

Others

Horton Scout HD 125

Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) continues to carry his Horton Scout HD 125 crossbow as his weapon of choice in Season 3 and uses it in "Seed" (S3E01) and "Sick" (S3E02).

TRIVIA: During filming of the bridge scene, Norman Reedus accidently broke the Horton Scout HD 125 buttstock when he hit the prop walker. Because of this and also with Reedus finding the Horton crossbow to be clunky and uncomfortable to use, he asked the writers for either a new crossbow or a dog, to which the former was picked, thus giving him the Stryker Strykezone 380.

Stun Grenades

After searching the prison in "Seed" (S3E01), Rick's group finds some stun grenades and later uses them during confrontations with Woodbury.

Some grenades are seen in "Seed" (S3E01).

Weapons Cache & Arsenals

Rick's Bag of Guns

Rick briefly carries the bag with a Mossberg 500 and bolt action rifle in "Seed" (S3E01). Rick's bag of guns is seen once again in "The Suicide King" (S3E09) as the Governor inspects the guns still left in it.
