Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) continues to use his six-inch barreled Colt Python in Season Two. At the end of "What Lies Ahead" (S2E01), he offers it to Lori, but she refuses. At the end of "Bloodletting" (S2E02), Rick gives his revolver to Otis (Pruitt Taylor Vince), who is going with Shane for medical supplies. Otis fires it in "Save the Last One" (S2E03), and then Shane (Jon Bernthal) gives it back to Rick. He surrenders the gun in "Cherokee Rose" (S2E04), agreeing to Hershel's rules. Both Rick and Glenn (Steven Yeun) briefly hold the revolver in "Chupacabra" (S2E05). The holstered revolver is seen in "Secrets" (S2E06). Rick shoots the last walker that came out of the barn at the end of "Pretty Much Dead Already" (S2E07) and shoots during a confrontation in a bar in "Nebraska" (S2E08) and subsequent "Triggerfinger" (S2E09). Shane tries to grab the revolver from Rick's holster in "18 Miles Out" (S2E10). Daryl (Norman Reedus) takes the revolver away from Rick and shoots at the end of "Judge, Jury, Executioner" (S2E11). While searching the woods in "What Lies Ahead" (S2E01), Daryl (Norman Reedus) finds a Colt Detective Special in a tent and gives it to Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) who carries it in her back pocket. Carl (Chandler Riggs) aims with the revolver under Rick's supervision.
Due to the potential danger of using a blank-firing weapon by such a young actor, it appears that the weapon used was a rubber prop and the muzzle flash was added in post-production.

Pistols

Beretta 92FS

Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) is briefly seen with a Beretta 92FS in his hand at the beginning of "What Lies Ahead" (S2E01). In an deleted scene, he shoots walkers in a nursing home. Andrea loads the Beretta's magazine at the beginning of "Save the Last One" (S2E03) until Daryl asks it of her, going on a search with the gun. After seeing Andrea's (Laurie Holden) success during shooting practice in "Secrets" (S2E06), Shane (Jon Bernthal) offers her a heavier Beretta, which she subsequently keeps for herself, using it during the search in the same episode and later in "Pretty Much Dead Already" (S2E07). She later carries it holstered in "Nebraska" (S2E08) and "Judge, Jury, Executioner" (S2E11).

Shane (Jon Bernthal) and Andrea (Laurie Holden) clean and reassemble the Glock 17 in "What Lies Ahead" (S2E01). Shane is seen with the holstered pistol in a flashback at the beginning of "Bloodletting" (S2E02) and uses it in "Save the Last One" (S2E03) to escape the school with the medical supplies. He surrenders the gun in "Cherokee Rose" (S2E04), agreeing to Hershel's rules. He fires it again while trying to train Andrea in firearms in "Secrets" (S2E06) and to escape the housing development alive. Furious Shane shoots walkers from the barn with his Glock in "Pretty Much Dead Already" (S2E07) and later carries it holstered in "Nebraska" (S2E08) and "Triggerfinger" (S2E09). One of the members of the hostile group named Sean (Keedar Whittle) is also briefly seen with the Glock in "Triggerfinger" (S2E09). In "18 Miles Out" (S2E10), while at the Mert County Public Service site, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) acquires two Glock 17s from two infected Mert County Deputies (who he and Shane killed) when his Python runs out of bullets. He later uses one of the Glocks to rescue Shane from a hoard of walkers. Shane interrogates Randall with the gun in "Judge, Jury, Executioner" (S2E11).

Later, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) pulls the gun out of the gun bag while and checks it. Going to clean out the barn from walkers in "Pretty Much Dead Already" (S2E07) Shane (Jon Bernthal) gives it to T-Dog, which he later uses. At the beginning of "Nebraska" (S2E08), T-Dog carries the Glock tucked into his pants.

T-Dog himself also shoots after Jimmy.
Rick holds the Glock later in the episode.
T-Dog (IronE Singleton) fires his Glock 19 in "Pretty Much Dead Already" (S2E07).

SIG-Sauer P228

A man named Dave (Michael Raymond-James) whom Rick and the others meet at a bar in "Nebraska" (S2E08) is armed with a SIG-Sauer P228, but fails to fire a single shot during the conflict. In the following "Triggerfinger" (S2E09), Glenn (Steven Yeun) picks up the pistol and gives it to Hershel (Scott Wilson), who uses it in a gunfight.
