The Return of Godzilla (1984) - original Japanese poster
Godzilla 1985: The Legend Is Reborn - The American version of Return of Godzilla released in 1985.

The Return of Godzilla is the 16th entry in the Toho-produced Godzilla film series. The film was released in Japan in 1984 to mark the 30th anniversary of the original film's release and started the Heisei era of films following a decade break. Like the original film, The Return of Godzilla was subsequently re-edited and redubbed in English for release in North America and several new English scenes were filmed with Raymond Burr reprising his role from the original American version. This version of the film was released in 1985 under the title Godzilla 1985. Subsequently, the only version currently available on DVD is the original Japanese version; it is currently the only Godzilla film with this distinction.
