Rainbow Six: Lockdown

Release Date: June 2005
Developer: Red Storm Entertainment
Publisher: Ubisoft
Series: Rainbow Six
Platforms: PlayStation 2
Xbox
GameCube
Microsoft Windows
mobile phone
Genre: First-Person Shooter

Rainbow Six: Lockdown is the tenth (counting expansions) installment in the Rainbow Six Franchise.

Notably the console versions use a more linear and "action-y" design, with more cutscenes, Team Rainbow not wearing helmets and sniping sections with the PC version (due to criticism of these elements) stripping most of this out in favor of bringing back a limited pre-planning system, different briefings and mission order with removed cutscenes, making terrorist weapons usable and making levels more open. (Notably the PS2 and Gamecube versions also have 2 extra missions not present in the original Xbox version in exchange for downgraded visuals and simplified levels.)

The console versions require the player to earn "Intel" by finding laptops to unlock weapons with them having fixed attachments while PC has everything unlocked by default and lets the player modify their weapons.

Lockdown would receive a psuedo-sequel expansion pack with Critical Hour on the Xbox which runs on the same engine and consists entirely of remade missions from past games.

The following weapons appear in the video game Rainbow Six: Lockdown:

Handguns

Handguns have infinite reserve ammunition except in console multiplayer.

Beretta M9

A Beretta M9 is in the game with a 15-round mag or 30-round extended mag or suppressor. It has a fairly weak damage. It comes with a chrome and black two-tone finish. It is always equipped with a suppressor on consoles.

Note that unlike most other games, when fitted with extended mags, the mags can actually be seen extending far out of the magazine well like they would in real life. Along with the Glock, the weakest pistol in the game.

Its stats are the same as the MEU(SOC)/Kimber Warrior II but with more ammo.

Despite only being usable in the PC version, it appears in the console version's intro with a different finish.
