Rainbow Six: Lockdown is the tenth (counting expansions) installment in the Rainbow Six Franchise.
Notably the console versions use a more linear and "action-y" design, with more cutscenes, Team Rainbow not wearing helmets and sniping sections with the PC version (due to criticism of these elements) stripping most of this out in favor of bringing back a limited pre-planning system, different briefings and mission order with removed cutscenes, making terrorist weapons usable and making levels more open. (Notably the PS2 and Gamecube versions also have 2 extra missions not present in the original Xbox version in exchange for downgraded visuals and simplified levels.)
The console versions require the player to earn "Intel" by finding laptops to unlock weapons with them having fixed attachments while PC has everything unlocked by default and lets the player modify their weapons.
Lockdown would receive a psuedo-sequel expansion pack with Critical Hour on the Xbox which runs on the same engine and consists entirely of remade missions from past games.
The following weapons appear in the video game Rainbow Six: Lockdown:
Handguns have infinite reserve ammunition except in console multiplayer.
