Godzilla vs. Gigan (1972)

Godzilla vs. Gigan (also known as Godzilla on Monster Island) is the 12th entry in the Toho-produced Godzilla film series. It depicts the battle of Godzilla and Anguirus against Gigan and King Ghidorah, monsters from space who serve as weapons of extra-terrestrial aggressive civilisation. It's worth noting many of the scenes in this film are actually stock footage from a previous entry, 'Destroy All Monsters.

The following weapons were used in the film Godzilla vs. Gigan:

M1 Garand

JGSDF personnel are armed with M1 Garand rifles.

M1 Garand semiautomatic Rifle with leather M1917 sling - .30-06
JGSDF Soldiers with Garand rifles.

Sumitomo M2HB Machine Gun

Bazooka

Bazooka launchers are also used by JGSDF personnel. It's hard to say for sure if they are M9 or M20.

M9A1 "Bazooka" - 2.36 inch
M20B1 "Super Bazooka" - 3.5"
Several Bazooka launchers are seen at the right.

Light Recoilless Gun

Another version of the recoilless gun, also mounted on jeeps, has a shorter barrel and resembles 75-mm M20 Recoilless Rifle.

M40 Recoilless Gun

In several scenes the JGSDF use 106-mm M40 Recoilless Rifles mounted on jeeps.
