The 17-year-old Shinichi Kudo is a well-known student detective from Tokyo. When he visits an amusement park with his childhood friend and secret love, Ran Mori, he watches a suspicious transfer of money and is beaten down. To silence him, the criminals give him a poison. But instead of dying, his body shrinks and Shinichi wakes up as an outward seven-year-old. From then on his goal is to find the "Men in Black", as he calls the perpetrators, and to regain its original size.
