The fourth season is created by Robert Kirkman and Scott Gimple. Months after a failed attack on the prison, the community thrives and expands, until Rick and his friends face a ferocious disease and the bloody vengeance of The Governor who has returned with a new army. By the second half of the season, the group of survivors find themselves splintered and scattered throughout the outskirts, but come back together in a new potentially safe location. The season consists of sixteen episodes and was premiered on October 13, 2013 on AMC.
