Forgotten Hope is a 2003 modification for Battlefield: 1942. Featuring maps based on key battles in the Second World War, from the invasion of Poland in 1939 to the fall of Germany in 1945, the action takes place across all four major theaters of the war - Western and Eastern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Pacific. With eleven different countries available, players can use dozens of authentic WW2-era small arms and vehicles. Due to the popularity of the mod, a sequel, Forgotten Hope 2, was released in 2005 for Battlefield 2.
The following weapons appear in the video game Forgotten Hope:
Sidearms
Colt M1911A1
The Colt M1911A1 is the main sidearm for U.S. troops. It should be noted that, unlike in Battlefield: 1942, sidearms are issued to only a few select classes, such as Officers, Snipers and Antitank Gunners, rather then as a back-up for all classes.
Enfield No.2 Mk.1*
The Enfield No.2 Mk.1* is carried as a sidearm by Commonwealth (British, Canadian and Australian) units.
Tokarev TT-33

Suomi KP/-31
Finnish soldiers use the Suomi KP/-31 in-game. It is the later production model for the Finnish army that has a muzzle brake and only the 71 round drum magazine is available. The sling swivel on the barrel shroud should be slightly more forward between the farthest gaps in the barrel shroud.

M1 Garand
Unsurprisingly, the M1 Garand is the main-issue battle rifle for U.S. troops in-game. On some maps and for some classes it can be fitted with a rifle grenade. The M1-C variant, fitted with a telescopic sight, is available on some maps.

Karabiner 98k
The Karabiner 98k is the main weapon of the German faction in-game. A version fitted with a Zeiss ZF42 scope is also available.

Carcano M91
The Carcano M91 is the main weapon of the Italian faction in-game.
Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle
Also used by Italian troops is the Carcano M91/38 Short Rifle.
Machine Guns
Browning Automatic Rifle M1918A2
The US support gunner class carries the Browning Automatic Rifle M1918A2. It has two variants: one without a bipod that fires at either semi-automatic or full-automatic, and one fitted with a bipod (although the bipod serves no practical purpose) that can be fired at 450 or 600 rounds per minute.
Bren Mk1
The Bren Mk1 is carried by Commonwealth support gunners. It is also mounted in machine gun nests and bunkers, and on the Universal Carrier and the British version of the US M3A1 Halftrack.
M1941 Johnson Machine Gun

MG 34
The MG 34 is used as a support weapon by the German faction. It is mounted on the M2 tripod (the Lafette would be far more accurate), in bunkers and machine gun nests, and on the Sturmboot landing craft, the Type 166 Schwimmwagen, SdKfz 251/1 "Hanomag" Halftrack and SdKfz 222 Armored Car, the turret of the Panzer IV Ausf. H, Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär, Panther and Tiger tanks and at the tail-gunner seat on the Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber.

The MG42 is also used by the German faction, as a man-portable gun, mounted on the M2 tripod and in machine gun nests and bunkers, on the turret of the Flakpanzer IV "Ostwind" antiaircraft gun and the Stug III Ausf. G tank destroyer, in the tail-gunner seat on the Junkers Ju 87 "Stuka" dive bomber, and at the gunner positions on the Junkers Ju 88 and Heinkel He 111 heavy bombers. Oddly enough, the MG42 model is in the hull of the M4A1 and M4A3E2 "Jumbo" Shermans and the British Sherman IV and "Firefly" tanks, despite sounding like the in-game M1919A4 when fired.
Type 96 Light Machine Gun
The Type 96 light machine gun is the used as a support weapon by the Imperial Japanese Army faction in earlier maps. Later maps have it being replaced with the Type 99 Light Machine Gun. It is fitted with a bayonet (a purely aesthetic feature) and a 2.5x optical sight.
