Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is the third installment in The Terminator film series.  The 2003 sequel was the first Terminator film not directed by James Cameron as Jonathan Mostow (U-571) took over the reins. Arnold Schwarzenegger returns as another Terminator reprogrammed to protect an older John Connor (Nick Stahl) from another more deadly cybernetic assassin designated as the T-X (Kristanna Loken).

A full auto Glock makes several appearances in the movie, first seen being loaded with a high-capacity magazine during the cemetery scene by the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger). According to Long Mountain Outfitters, the pistol used in the film was a Glock 18. The Terminator is seen carrying it in his waistband when loading the other weapons from the hearse to the table by the recreational vehicle while the trio are en-route to Cyber Research Systems (CRS). John Connor (Nick Stahl) fires it at the Crystal Peak base to ensure there's no Skynet-controlled machines lying in wait, and then when Connor is trying to hold off the T-X while Katherine tries to get the blast door open.
In addition to clothes and a vehicle, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) procures a Remington 870 shotgun with a high-capacity magazine tube, custom foregrip, and heat shield from the roadhouse he appears near. The Shotgun is also outfitted with the U.S.M.C.-style tube support clamp. This clamp usually has an M7 bayonet lug on it when used by the U.S. Marines, but Arnold's version has no bayonet lug. He then uses the shotgun during the first encounter with the T-X at the veterinary clinic and in the ensuing car chase.

When raiding the veterinary clinic for drugs, John Connor (Nick Stahl) brandishes a paintball pistol disguised as a Walther PPK. He ends up getting shot with it when Katherine Brewster (Claire Danes) manages to get it away from him. Of course, there is not Paintball pistol that could be mocked up like that! Perhaps, they mean a Airsoft pistol?

One of the weapons in the coffin taken from the cemetery is an Heckler & Koch UMP with the stock removed and fitted with a C-More red dot sight. It is first seen being set on a table prior to the recreational vehicle being commandeered, and again when the Terminator engages the T-X at CRS. It works extremely well (for a submachine gun) on the T-X: knocking it to the ground probably due to the rapid succession of large .45 caliber rounds. Where as we see time and time again-fire from 9mm Heckler & Koch MP5's, even multiple guns firing simultaneously, do little more than strip the biological covering as the Terminator advances at almost normal pace.

Yet another weapon the Terminator gets from the coffin is a Penn Arms rotary launcher fitted with a C-More red dot sight and a bandoleer of 37mm grenades for it. The launcher is first seen being inspected after being taken from the coffin, then being used by the Terminator to knock the T-X through a wall and down a shaft before remarking that "she'll be back". For some reason, the grenades don't explode on impact with the T-X - They are most likely phosphorus grenade rounds, used commonly for well armored targets.

Browning M1919A4
During the cemetery scene, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is seen using a Browning M1919A4 machine gun fitted with a belt drum as well as a shoulder strap and special side-mounted trigger to allow him to fire the weapon one-handed from the hip. He uses the weapon to lay down covering fire on the SWAT officers, and just as in Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the damage is limited to the assembled police cars, with the SWAT officers not taking a single hit from the barrage. The Terminator's HUD indicates that the weapon fires an impossible 760 rounds in the few seconds that he hoses down the cop cars. The director notes that Arnold Schwarzenegger was able to handle Browning M1919 with no help other than the strap. (However, you can see the weapon starting to tilt up in a few shots.) But the coffin, despite being a lightweight built one, still weighed a few hundred pounds, so cables were attached to ease the handling. Arnold nearly lost a finger in this scene to one of the explosive squibs mounted on the coffin to simulate gunfire impacts.

The T-1 robots that are sent on a rampage at CRS are seen equipped with oversized non functional Gatling gun props with CG muzzle flashes that are probably supposed to be standing in for GE M134 Miniguns.

The following weapons were used in the film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines:

SPOILERS.jpg WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!

Handguns

Smith & Wesson 4506-1

In addition to her various built-in weapons, the T-X (Kristanna Loken) also uses a Smith & Wesson 4506-1 that she procured from the LAPD officer (Jay Acovone) who pulled her over. She uses it to terminate several targets until she encounters Connor and the Terminator. Interestingly, the novelization referred to the handgun as a SIG-Sauer.

Glock 18

Glock 19

During the cemetery scene, Katherine Brewster (Claire Danes) grabs a Glock 19 pistol from a coffin full of weapons extracted from the 'grave' of Sarah Connor and demands to be released, believing that she had been abducted by the Terminator. When the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) tries to take the pistol from her she shoots him in the mouth with it, then looks on as the Terminator spits out the bullet and tells her "don't do that".

Glock 36

When discussing their next plan of action after the cemetery, John Connor (Nick Stahl) pulls a Glock 36 in frustration and threatens to kill himself if the Terminator doesn't follow his orders to go to CRS to rescue Katherine's father from the T-X.

Beretta 92FS

The T-X can be seen at CRS wielding a Beretta 92FS pistol (presumably stolen from one of the military personnel working at the facility, the gun standing in for M9) when confronting Lt. General Robert Brewster (David Andrews).

Walther PPK (Airsoft Replica)

When raiding the veterinary clinic for drugs, John Connor (Nick Stahl) brandishes what is supposed to be an airsoft or BB replica of a Walther PPK loaded with paintball rounds. He ends up getting shot with it when Katherine Brewster (Claire Danes) manages to get it away from him. Katherine then chastises him for trying to rob her with "a paintball gun".

John Connor holds his airsoft pistol on Katherine Brewster during their encounter at the veterinary clinic. His very major mistake is holding it in a side grip, much like a gangster, which is probably the worst possible way to have a steady aim.

Shotguns

Remington 870 Custom

In addition to clothes and a vehicle, the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) procures a Remington 870 Shotgun with a high-capacity magazine tube, custom forend, and a heat shield from the roadhouse he appears near. The shotgun is also outfitted with the USMC-style tube support clamp. This clamp usually has an M7 bayonet lug on it when used by the US Marines, but Arnold's version has no bayonet lug. He then uses the shotgun during the first encounter with the T-X at the veterinary clinic and in the ensuing car chase.

The scene of him riding off with the motorcycle is almost exactly the same way he does it in The Terminator when chasing after Sarah Connor and in Terminator 2 again when he rescues John Connor from the T-1000, who was also driving a large truck.

M26 MASS (Modular Accessory Shotgun System)

The early version of the M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System is seen mounted under the M4A1 held by the future John Connor in a future war sequence. This configuration would also be used by John Connor in Terminator Salvation.

Submachine Guns

Heckler & Koch MP5A2

While engaging the Terminator at the cemetery, several of the SWAT officers are seen using Heckler & Koch MP5A2s with the Navy trigger group and Surefire dedicated forend weaponlights. Some also appear to be fitted with flash-hiders.

The SWAT leader (Matt Gerald) fires his MP5A2 at the Terminator. Note the three position trigger group, thus is the A2 model with the Navy Trigger Group. Note also this weapon has the proprietary H&K flash-hider installed.

Heckler & Koch UMP45

One of the weapons in the coffin taken from the cemetery is an Heckler & Koch UMP with the stock removed and fitted with a C-More red dot sight and the proprietary H&K flash hider. It is first seen being set on a table prior to the recreational vehicle being commandeered, and again when the Terminator engages the T-X at CRS. It works extremely well (for a submachine gun) on the T-X: knocking it to the ground probably due to the rapid succession of large .45 caliber rounds while time and time again rounds fired from 9x19mm Heckler & Koch MP5's, even multiple guns firing simultaneously, do little more than strip the biological covering as the Terminator advances at almost normal pace.

Rifles / Carbines

Heckler & Koch G36K

Yet another weapon from the coffin is a Heckler & Koch G36K with the stock removed and two magazines clipped together. It is first seen being carried from the wrecked hearse with the other weapons, then being used by the Terminator at the CRS facility firing on a flying robot, then again attempting to engage the T-X, only to find it out of ammo.

AKMS (Custom Short Barrel)

Another of the weapons taken from the coffin is an AKMS with a chopped barrel and two magazines held together with a dual-mag clamp. Connor is first seen using it, trying to defend himself from the T-X when she boards the Hearse he and the other two are making their escape from the cemetery in. It then appears several more times at CRS, most notably when Katherine uses it to destroy a mini HK-Aerial, and then when it's yanked out of Connor's hand by the electromagnet that attracts both the gun and the murderous T-X to it.

M4A1 Carbine

During the cemetery scene, some of the SWAT officers are armed with M4A1 Carbines fitted with Surefire M500AB weaponlights and C-More red dot sights. Connor and several resistance fighters can also be seen raising M4A1's in victory in one of the scenes from the future at the beginning of the film, Connor's M4 mounting an M26 MASS shotgun, minus the magazine.

Some resistance fighters in the future war scene are seen with M16A2 rifles.

Machine Guns

Prop gatling gun

The T-1 robots that are sent on a rampage at CRS are seen equipped with oversized non functional Gatling gun props with CG muzzle flashes that are probably supposed to be standing in for GE M134 Miniguns. The Terminator manages to disable one of these robots and rips one of the Gatling guns off, somehow firing the electric powered weapon with no mechanical trigger by simply holding a makeshift handhold. He uses it to destroy another T-1 down the hall.

The T-1 being shot up by the commandeered Gatling gun. These props are not particularly detailed. There is no external drive motor for the weapon (likely because it is on the same axis of the barrel cluster inside the "gun housing" since it doesn't actually chamber and fire rounds) or even a feeder/delinker for the ammunition. Where are the brass and links go during the Terminator's rampage is a mystery.

Launchers

Sage Control SL-6 Rotary Launcher

Yet another weapon the Terminator gets from the coffin is a Sage Control SL-6 rotary launcher fitted with a C-More red dot sight and a bandoleer of 37mm grenades for it. The launcher is first seen being inspected after being taken from the coffin, then being used by the Terminator to knock the T-X through a wall and down a shaft before remarking that "she'll be back". For some reason, the grenades don't explode on impact with the T-X.

Type 69 RPG

Another of the weapons taken from the coffin is a Type 69 RPG launcher fitted with a PGO-7 scope as well as several rockets for it. The Terminator fires it from the hearse at the T-X, sending her flying and smashing into a headstone in the cemetery, blasting a gash in her right shoulder.

Other

Cemetery Arsenal

When the Terminator opens Sarah Connor's coffin and finds the cache of weapons, the following weapons are seen: Browning M1919 with drum magazine, Glock 18, one Glock 19, a bandolier of 40mm grenades, PG-7VM RPG rockets, a Norinco Type 69 RPG, an Ithaca 37 "Stakeout", .30-06 rounds, a custom version of the AKMS, a Sage Control SL-6 rotary launcher, several blocks of C4 plastic explosive, one Heckler & Koch G36K, and one Heckler & Koch UMP, and the carry handle/rear sight of an M16-series rifle.

There's also two 5.56x45mm Beta-C Drum Magazines in the lower-right corner of the second pic. Why the Terminator did not use those when facing the T-X at CRS is unknown.

Endo Battle Rifle

The fictional Endo Battle Rifle is seen being used by the endoskeleton Terminators in the future scenes of the film. This weapon was built on the Calico M960 submachine gun.
