The Dark Knight Rises is the third and final installment in director Christopher Nolan's trilogy of Batman films. The 2012 sequel finds Bruce Wayne, now a recluse, contemplating a return to his role as Batman as a mercenary leader named Bane (Tom Hardy) threatens the citizens of Gotham City.
