Adding pics to the Payday 2 page

If you can, try to centralize articles about guns, so to speak. You added a pic to the AMIR article, which as you probably know, i just a modified version of the AKMSU. The same split was between the MP5's until i changed it.

What im trying to say is that, don't spread stuff out. It's not a demand but it helps to have things centered to one article.--AnActualAK47 (talk) 16:51, 4 December 2015 (EST)

True, although the AIMR was put there before by someone else. If you don't mind, I'll leave the formatting up to you or someone else :P but yeah the page has been cluttered up quite a bit. AgentGumby (talk) 16:59, 4 December 2015 (EST)
imfdb seems to shit itself when you reformat, but i'll keep doing it--AnActualAK47 (talk) 18:19, 4 December 2015 (EST)

About yer pics on the BF4 page

They're lovely screens alright, no HUD makes em' real slick, i would advise however to get rid of your clan tag thingu, makes things "cleaner"--AnActualAK47 (talk) 15:57, 7 August 2016 (EDT)

Edit: Do you mark the screenshots you replace with the "nuke" tag? As we have no need to keep them, we might as well get rid of them instead of filling up the site with unused screens.--AnActualAK47 (talk) 15:59, 7 August 2016 (EDT)
I kinda like to keep the emblem as a watermark thing; I haven't marked anything to nuke either, I'll keep that in mind though.(I only replaced like two or three though, most of what I added was new content)--AgentGumby (talk) 18:31, 7 August 2016 (EDT)
Nuke every unused screenshot and let god sort em' out.--AnActualAK47 (talk) 16:42, 8 August 2016 (EDT)

"Aspect ration"... praise Gumby The Grammar Nazi!!! All jokes aside, it would take a lot of time to replace all the old screenshots of the page, but yeah if you don't mind that feel free to work on it. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 19:37, 8 December 2017 (EST)

The Modern Warfare Store does not approve of these heathen Battlefield things. Evil Tim (talk) 11:31, 11 January 2018 (EST)

Hah. Expect more inane comments whenever that happens to me.--AgentGumby (talk) 14:11, 11 January 2018 (EST)

The reason I removed it is actually the opposite of what you said: the fact that much worse things happened wouldn't mean issuing expanding bullets to be fired at infantry as a matter of policy would be seen as a minor violation of the Hague Convention. But the actual point is that this was a weapon which was never supposed to be used in combat, and the choice of a round you couldn't legally fire at the enemy even if you wanted to is reflective of that. Hopefully the rewrite gets that across a bit better. Evil Tim (talk) 23:41, 7 May 2018 (EDT)

RE: Volkssturmgewehr

I'm not necessarily saying that it's incorrect per se; it's just a rather odd and inefficient way of going about charging the weapon. The charging handle is connected to the gas-trapping upper assembly, which is in turn connected directly to the bolt, so there's no particular reason not to pull the charging handle. It's a bit like when a game's empty reload animation for an AR-15-pattern rifle involves the use of the charging handle instead of the bolt release; it's not wrong, but why would you go out of your way to preform this action in an awkward, inefficient manner when there's a far better, easier way to do it? I hope that this clears things up. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 17:15, 11 June 2018 (EDT) P.S.: Maybe I'm just bad at searching, but man, finding a video that actually shows off the empty reload animation of the "Goat II" was a pain.

Yeah, I could see that happening. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 19:54, 11 June 2018 (EDT)

RE: Rising Storm 2

Got it. Feel free to update them if you get the chance, otherwise I'll try to grab some replacements next time I'm in game. I've been finding it tough to get into a server running ARVN maps though. --Riverstyx (talk) 19:26, 18 June 2018 (EDT)

Topic: Insurgency Sandstorm

About this edit - do you have some official info what the pistol portrayed in-game is actually L105A1 or its in-game model is distinctly differs itself from the updated L106A1 and that's why you think it's 105 edition? I can't find detailed breakdowns on how to tell two 105 from 106, but it feels strange for the developer to make a error since two designations actually exist. I assume you know that L106A1 is a designation for the improved version with corrosion resistant finish. Or maybe you didn't know that and that's why I ask this question in the first place. Terramax (talk) 19:08, 20 August 2018 (EDT)

I actually knew about the shotgun, but didn't choose to include it because it's not on IMFDB yet. Anyways, thanks! --Wuzh (talk) 22:56, 21 August 2018 (EDT)

BFV Grenade

How did you make it so that the player holds the grenade like in Bf4?

RE: M60E6

Ah, if that's the case, fair enough. I'll upload a bigger version of your image for now, though I'll see later if I can find a better one since the lower part of the stock isn't fully visible. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 14:41, 17 May 2019 (EDT)

Re: Image Aspect Ratio

It's less of a direct performance issue and more of a basic one, my monitor is 4:3 and my screenshots are taken directly from that. I could theoretically stretch it to 16:9 but it'll look weird and warped. --PaperCake 19:49, 22 June 2019 (EST)

RE: Warface M4 CQB

I'm on the fence here. Having made side-by-side comparisons with images like this one, the barrel length does seem to be very slightly closer to the ASG, but the handguard, while having similar features to it, is noticeably different, and more importantly, the magwell is more diagonal like the K23B (and unlike the ASG). --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 09:05, 19 October 2019 (EDT)

AK in Modern Warfare (2019)

I see that you added a couple of images showing the AK-47's milled receiver paired with an AK-74's barrel assembly. For future images, the AK in 7.62mm and 5.45mm can be found with both this barrel assembly and the stamped receiver combined together, as seen in the videos that I linked in MW's talk page. If you manage to find them in this configuration, that will be great.

Now in response to your question in the recent edit summary, it can't be an AK-103; it's just an earlier AK-47/AKM (depending on the model found) fitted with a dovetail side plate for mounting optics. The real AK-103 has a hardware for a folding stock on the left side of the receiver (a button at the back, and a catch in front the magwell), as well as a stamped receiver combined with a reinforced smooth cover, which can't be achieved on the in-game weapon. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 17:28, 10 November 2019 (EST)

Yes, the game has such a possibility. A very good proposition. I will add such photos to the site. And reloading the weapon from a different perspective.--Emto_PL (talk) 06:15, 14 December 2019 (EST)

Hi, I want to ask, what's exactly the deal with the new change of this image for Modern Warfare 2019? Is that a blueprint, or was the standard MP5 model changed with a different receiver? On another note, can you manage to get screenshots of the handheld M134 Minigun? (probably in the campaign mission "Into the Furnace") --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 17:22, 2 April 2020 (EDT)

Alright, I see. And thanks for the M134 images. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 18:10, 3 April 2020 (EDT)

Thanks for the images

Thank you for adding those images in the page for Superhot. The page looks much better now. --Dan San (talk) 22:54, 16 August 2020 (EDT)

CoDWaW images

I didn't know, I set this resolution years ago. However, I changed the last images for the uniformity--HighPhigh (talk) 02:57, 21 September 2020 (EDT)

RE: Chinese style drums

I didn't find any evidence that this is a specific Chinese design, on the contrary it appears to be a common 7.62x39mm drum design. As for the other drum that you show with the RPK I suspect that this was an earlier design because it lacks some features like the sling loop present on the "Chinese" drum. This makes me think that the "Chinese" is simply a later upgrade, could be Soviet or maybe even Russian. --Nanomat (talk) 21:25, 2 November 2020 (EST)

Reply Sandstorm Images

If that's the case, then I better adjust accordingly by copy-pasting the source code (Wiki markups) to Notepad first in order to allow me edit the draft of the page anytime & then paste the completed draft for revising the page after updating existing screenshots first instead of merely uploading new separate screenshots by my own (I need to make sure that I copy the markups of existing screenshot to be updated), although IMFDB takes few moments for updating screenshots into newer version. Also, my apologies if you considered that I did it rather "Personally". If there's any question, then do let me know. AgentHotel (talk) 10:33, 27 April 2021 (EDT)

Excuse me, I noticed that you're covering ISMC mod for Sandstorm in the talk page & I thought that I'd like to share the portfolios of modelers responsible for gun models in there like Cosku Camoglu, Dean Forsyth & John T. I almost forgot to introduce myself that I'm one of the Organizers in ISMC dev team who's responsible in documenting shared assets. However, I've been busy recently due to joining intensive program from course I'm attending until late July which means that I'm unable to contribute on it until finishing the said course (I also already told the rest of ISMC staffs about it beforehand). If there's any question regarding the mod then do let me know. AgentHotel (talk) 11:54, 22 May 2021 (EDT)
Unfortunately I don't exactly have the list of ISMC stuffs (Including console names) because I don't have the mod installed in my device & would like to upgrade my RAM first for better performance (Likely after finishing the said course). However, I know a Steam guide which allows you to play the mod in local games which can be checked here.. AFAIK certain AKs like AK-104 & AK-105 (Especially those with "Custom" suffix) do come with Zenit handguard on-default & some of the gun models are reusing NWI assets. Also, there's an upcoming mod by ISMC called Project Binford which will be released in a next few days where American & Russian PMCs are confronting each other (There're also several drivable vehicles with mounted weapons like MRZR with GAU-19/A & GAZ Tigr-M with AGS-17; along with upcoming 'Revamped' Insurgents which is currently being worked on). If you've Discord, then you can join the ISMC Discord server which can be found in the description of ISMC Twitter page in order to stay tuned for sneak-peeks like official renders, concept arts, etc. You can also contact me on Discord (AgentHotel#1895) as well if you need further assistance. AgentHotel (talk) 19:40, 22 May 2021 (EDT)
I almost forgot to tell you that BluFor refers to Western PMC while RedFor refers to Russian PMC (Not Insurgents); along with the upcoming 'Revamped' Insurgents like this called OpFor which is inspired by the titular faction from Medal of Honor (2010) (I'm also responsible for providing references from photos into films & video games). About the C7A2 and the stepped upper receiver

I'm late but referring to this edit, the stepped uppers on C7s aren't exclusive to the SFW variant. Both C7s in the Imgur album and the sourced Youtube links are Canadian Forces issued C7A2s.

Fine cuisine (talk) 22:20, 6 June 2021 (EDT)

RE: SUR300 upper

It's a bit of stretch to say that it "doesn't look like" another integrally suppressed VIRTUS, since the in-game configuration has this type of handguard (which is basically a longer version of this one, the latter being the same as that of the SUR300), along with a suppressor similar to some of these. But fair enough, I'll just mention the longer handguard in that section. --Ultimate94ninja (talk) 07:38, 28 June 2021 (EDT)

Re: Warfighter

Thanks for some of your clarifications regarding the images. My main frustration with the page (or rather, with the documentation of the game on the internet in general) is that it does a poor job at describing weapon attachments and default setups in a detailed and accurate manner. I actually decided to buy the game just a few hours ago to observe the weapon attachments myself. --Wuzh (talk) 00:18, 3 March 2022 (EST)

Well that was a bummer. Turns out trying to document a dead live service game with unlock progressions means that you have to pay extra to unlock everything. Paying 40 bucks to do some internet volunteer work just isn't worth it, in my opinion. That said, I think you're right that I can gleam some info from the stuff on Battlelog. Might need some fact-checking afterwards though. --Wuzh (talk) 01:39, 3 March 2022 (EST)
