Browning BDA
The Browning BDA (marketed in Europe as FN HP-DA) is a single/double-action pistol based on the Browning Hi-Power. It was introduced in the early-1980s to compete in the U.S. XM9 pistol trials, though lost out to the Beretta 92F.
Note: Not to be confused with the similarly-named Browning BDA 380, or the more recent Browning BDM.

Blank Firing Replicas
Umarex GPDA
Umarex (of Germany) makes a common blank-firing-only replica of the Browning BDA in several versions, known as the GPDA9 and the GPDA8. The GPDA9 is a blank-firing pistol that chambers the proprietary 9mm P.A.K. (9x22mm) blank cartridge. The GPDA8 chambers the 8mm blank round and is readily available in the U.S. The vast majority of blank-firing pistols in 9mm P.A.K. are only available in Europe. Blank-firing replicas of the Browning BDA can be identified by the spurred circular-shaped hammer like on some models of the Hi-Power, and a lack of lanyard ring.
