The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared
|
The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared is a 2013 Swedish film comedy directed by Felix Herngren based on the novel of the same name by Jonas Jonasson. After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a retirement home, believing his days are numbered and bored to death. On his 100th birthday, the senior citizen, who still enjoys excellent health, decides to escape the tedium of the home and unceremoniously climbs out the window. What follows is a series of unexpected events that lead him on a long journey. On this journey, he meets a group of serious criminals, finds a suitcase full of money, encounters an elephant, makes the acquaintance of an incompetent policeman, and makes new friends. For Allan, however, none of this is really out of the ordinary, because it turns out that he was involved in a large part of the most significant events of the 20th century; sometimes more and sometimes less directly.
The following weapons were used in the film The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared:
