Unknown Mauser rifle
I ran across a weird Mauser in two consecutive episodes. The show had previously used K98ks, except this has a straight bolt handle, BUT, it has a cutout in the stock as if it was meant to have a bent bolt handle. Are bolts interchangeable? Is this just some weird hybrid? It doesn't appear to be a one-off. --Funkychinaman (talk) 20:30, 27 May 2013 (EDT)
- I looked on some Mauser forums, and apparently the Russians reconditioned a bunch of captured K98ks with straight bolt handles. I don't know about their availability in the late sixties though. --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:31, 29 May 2013 (EDT)
Unknown pistol
Senko Brobin (Francis Lederer) takes Polya's (Kurt Kreuger) sidearm to crush some sugar cubes in "A Cube of Sugar" (S01E27). At first I thought it was a Colt Pocket Hammerless, but it has curved serrations, and the grip is too long. Any thoughts? --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:49, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
- Looking back, I think Cinnamon had the same pistol in "Fakeout" (S01E12). I had assumed that it was a Colt Pocket Hammerless here as well. Notice the grip running all the way up to the slide. There's also some sort of decocker/takedown lever/etc in front of the grips. It looks a bit larger than a Colt as well.--Funkychinaman (talk) 14:27, 31 May 2013 (EDT)

- It's hard to pin down which variant, since there are so many. I think it's one of the seven shot variants, since the grip doesn't extend past Cinnamon's hand. I just took my best guess. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:20, 31 May 2013 (EDT)
Colt Cobra
If you look closely at the barrel of the gun being fired next to Rollin's ear (S01E17)you can the barrel marking "COBRA", also note the frame color is a little plum colored,indicating the the alloy frame of the Colt Cobra. The same plum color shows on the gun being pointed at Willy (S01E06)so it's probably the same gun. I only noticed this because of the high quality of these screencaps.---Tecolote, 15th June 2013

The first picture under Dectective Special where a Casino guard is pointing one at Willy, and I'm only basing it on that plummy frame color, which is noticable on both Colt and S&W alloy frames in person,so it's your call. again,great screencaps.---Tecolote ,15 June 2013

The show tends to use the same guns over and over again, like that one Becker & Hollander Beholla that keeps showing up. (I'm assuming it's the same one, you never see more than one, and it's nickel or chrome plated, so how many can there be?) Eerie similarities
So I finally broke down and bought an old book on the series, which had the original treatment for the show. The title was supposed to be "Brigg's Squad", and it was about a team "formerly a Special Forces group that performed wartime missions 'often incredibly hazardous and totally without reward because the government of the United States must disavow any knowledge of those particular activities...'" to be lead by a Lt. Col. David Briggs, and the team included a "wheeler-dealer 'who never owns anything longer than it takes to turn a profit'", a ladies man who "does not know what a woman means by the word 'no', never - not once in his life - ever having heard it, a tech guy, a muscle man who was "ugly, ill-tempered, inept, and probably the strongest man in the world," a martial arts expert and professional killer, and a master of disguise. Sound effects gun
The episode "Action!" (S01E23) was probably one of the cheaper episodes to make, since it involved infiltrating a movie set. There was a gun-like device on set though, and I have no idea what it's suppose to be? For sound effects? --Funkychinaman (talk) 10:35, 31 December 2015 (EST)
Beretta M1934 in "The Legacy"
I wouldn't call it odd that a Neo-Nazi would use a Beretta M1934, this weapon was used by Nazi-Germany under the designation Pistole 671(i), and it could be assumed that the weapon was passed down, from the father to the son! --Exodianecross (talk) 09:42, 7 July 2016 (EDT)

- The odd thing is that there were plenty of German pistols in the first season, some even in that very episode. You had P38s, Lugers, and even the Beholla. If you wanted to include Czech guns, you had the CZ 27 and 38. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:47, 7 July 2016 (EDT)
