Scream is a 2022 slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the fifth installment in the Scream series and sequel to 2011's Scream 4, and is also the first film in the series to not be directed by Wes Craven. The film stars new characters portrayed by Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, and Jack Quaid alongside series regulars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, and Courtney Cox.

25 years after the original Ghostface killings, teenager Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) is attacked by a new Ghostface. This incident draws her estranged older sister Sam (Melissa Barrera) back home to Woodsboro, where she discovers the growing list of victims are connected to the original massacre.

Smith & Wesson Model 15

A Smith & Wesson Model 15 is used by Dewey Riley (David Arquette). It is taken by Ghostface in the hospital and later used by other characters.

Smith & Wesson Model 15 - .38 Special

The Smith & Wesson Model 15 plus two HKS speedloaders that is kept in a toolbox owned by Dewey Riley (David Arquette).

Dewey opens fire on Ghostface in the hospital.

After expending his ammunition, Dewey opens the cylinder to dump out spent brass...

...and loads six rounds of .38 Special via speedloader.

Dewey prepares to finish off Ghostface.

"Welcome to act three".
Amber (Mikey Madison) draws Dewey's revolver to the shock of her friends.

Following a struggle, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) grabs the dropped revolver.

Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) aims the Model 15.

Gale holds the Model 15 shortly before Sam (Melissa Barrera) takes it.

Beretta 92FS

A Beretta 92FS with a flush fit barrel installed is the weapon used by Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell). The pistol also is used by several other characters in the film.

Note: It appears to be the same Beretta used by Benicio del Toro in Sicario: Day of the Soldado.

What appears to be a Glock 19 is briefly handled by Deputy Vinson (Chester Tam) in the hospital.

Baikal IJ-70

A Baikal IJ-70 is the other pistol Sidney (Neve Campbell) brings to Woodsboro. It is only seen briefly in a gun case before being handed off to Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox), who loses it after she is incapacitated.

Baikal IJ-70 with fake suppressor - .380 ACP. This is the hero gun used by Sven-Ole Thorsen, Rob Roy Fitzgerald, and Steven Williams in Route 666. While the handgun in Scream does not use a suppressor, it has the exact same markings as this example and is likely the same model.

The IJ-70 is seen to the left of the Beretta 92FS. Note the adjustable sights differentiating this pistol from a military Makarov. The markings indicate it is chambered in .380 ACP and imported by B-West of Tucson, Arizona.
