Scream VI
|
Scream VI is a 2023 slasher film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the sixth installment in the Scream series and a direct sequel to Scream (2022). Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega reprise their roles from the previous film as Sam and Tara Carpenter, with Courtney Cox returning once again as Gale Weathers and Hayden Panettiere reprising her role as Kirby Reed from Scream 4.
A year after the latest Ghostface killings in Woodsboro, California, the survivors have moved across the country to New York City for a fresh start. Just as life seems to be returning to normal, a new Ghostface surfaces in Manhattan, starting a new round of bloodshed.

The following weapons were used in the film Scream VI:
Handguns
Glock 17
A Glock 17 is carried by Wayne Bailey (Dermot Mulroney) as his sidearm. He notably uses it during the climactic confrontation in the abandoned theatre.

Ruger SR9c
Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) keeps a Ruger SR9c with a stainless slide in her apartment. She uses it for self-defense against Ghostface, and it is briefly picked up and used by Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera).

Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) holds the SR9c after firing through her closet door.
Smith & Wesson 6906
FBI Special Agent Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere) carries a Smith & Wesson 6906 as her sidearm, which is not a current-issue FBI sidearm. She uses her pistol during the climax, where it is also used by Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera).

Smith & Wesson Model 36
After getting knocked out and losing his Glock 17, Wayne Bailey (Dermot Mulroney) draws a Smith & Wesson Model 36 from an ankle holster.

Smith & Wesson Model 13
The group finds an abandoned theater devoted to the Ghostface killers of years past, filled with mementos from previous films. In a display dedicated to Dewey Riley (David Arquette), a revolver is displayed. While likely intended to be the Smith & Wesson Model 15 he used in the previous film, the revolver on display actually appears to be a Smith & Wesson Model 13, as noted by the lack of adjustable sights while still retaining a heavy barrel.
Shotguns
J.C. Higgins Model 20 (Sawed-off)
When Ghostface attacks the Carpenter sisters in a bodega, the clerk (Jason Cavalier) pulls out a sawed-off J.C. Higgins Model 20 in an attempt to stop them. Ghostface disarms the clerk of the shotgun and uses it while hunting the sisters in the store, marking the first time in the series Ghostface uses a firearm against their victims while in costume.
