The Avengers is the 2012 comic book feature film brings together the four Marvel superheroes previously featured in Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America: The First Avenger. The film was directed by Joss Whedon, the creator of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly television series, and the cast includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson.
