The majority of the NCIS agents including G. Callen ([[Chris O'Donnell]]), Sam Hanna ([[L.L. Cool J]]), Kensi Blye ([[Daniela Ruah]]) and Assistant Director Owen Granger ([[Miguel Ferrer]]) continue to carry the new model [[SIG-Sauer P229 E2]] with the redesigned slide and new grips. Various characters also use the P229 throughout the season. Two P229E2s are seen in a covert CIA arms cache in "Merry Evasion" (S5E12). CIA SAD operator Vostanik Sabatino ([[Erik Palladino]]) uses a SIG-Sauer P229 E2 as his main weapon near the end of "Spoils of War" (S5E19).
