Atkins (also released in English under long title Atkins: Between the Fronts of Indians and Whites) is a 1985 East German Western ("Red Western") movie directed by Helge Trimpert. Around the turn of the 20th century mid-aged hunter Tom Atkins (Oleg Borisov) leaves a city for wilderness. In a remote valley he meets a stray Indian tribe, finding refuge after escaping from reservation. The Indians initially distrust the stranger, but after some time they befriend. Once a geologist Morris comes to the valley in search of rich natural resources. Morris suggests Atkins to become his companion, but the hunter cannot deceive his Indian friends.
The following weapons were used in the film Atkins:
Revolvers
Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873
Tom Atkins's (Oleg Borisov) handgun is a Chamelot-Delvigne Model 1873 revolver.
Reichsrevolver M1879
Due to continuty error, Atkins' revolver switches from Chamelot-Delvigne M1873 to a Reichsrevolver M1879.
Reichsrevolver M1883
Morris' (Peter Zimmermann) handgun is a Reichsrevolver M1883 revolver.
Rifles
Werder M1869
Morris (Peter Zimmermann) carries a Werder M1869 (Werdergewehr M/1869) rifle.
Remington Rolling Block
Remington Rolling Block rifles and carbines are seen in hands of Indian warriors.
Unidentified rifles
Indian warriors use various rifles that are mostly seen in distance and cannot be identified for sure.
Shotguns
Single Barreled Shotgun
During the confrontation with US cavalry several Indian warriors are armed with Single Barreled Shotguns. They are possibly visually modified by adding long handguards (or vice versa long barrels are shortened) and custom barrel bands.
Double Barreled Shotgun
Tom Atkins (Oleg Borisov) carries a Double Barreled Shotgun with exposed hammers in several scenes. Some Indian warriors are also armed with double barreled shotguns.
Atkins also owns another shotgun, with short barrels, that is taken by Morris (Peter Zimmermann).
