+ | Resident Evil: Afterlife is the fourth installment in the Resident Evil film series. The 2010 survival horror sequel once again stars Milla Jovovich as Alice and was directed by original Resident Evil director Paul W.S. Anderson. Afterlife also was the first feature in the franchise to be filmed in 3D (with the same cameras used for James Cameron's Avatar). The cast includes Ali Larter, Boris Kodjoe, and Shawn Roberts (who takes over the role of Albert Wesker). The film also marks one of the earliest movie appearances of the Smith & Wesson Model 460V as well as the live action debut of the character of Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller). | ||

Shockingly in an extended version of the scene she tells Crystal to make sure the entire barrel fills up with water and there is no air left, or the gun will explode (which is largely correct). Alice is then seen using them to shoot through a horde of zombies in the prison yard, and tosses them away when they are empty so she can use her double barreled shotguns. This film is also one of the first to feature this particular revolver, according to director [[Paul W.S. Resident Evil: Afterlife is the fourth installment in the Resident Evil film series.
The following weapons were used in the film Resident Evil: Afterlife:
WARNING! THIS PAGE CONTAINS SPOILERS!
Handguns
Smith & Wesson Model 460V
In addition to her dual shotguns, Alice (Milla Jovovich) carries a pair of 5" barreled Smith & Wesson Model 460V revolvers in a dual shoulder rig setup. At one point, she hands them off to both Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller) and Crystal (Kacey Barnfield). This film is also one of the first to feature this particular revolver, according to director Paul W.S. Anderson in the audio commentary.
Magnum Research Inc. Mark XIX Desert Eagle
Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) is seen firing two Magnum Research Inc. Mark XIX Desert Eagle handguns during the assault on the Umbrella facility by the Alice clones.
Beretta 93R
Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller) takes a Beretta 93R without the foregrip and the muzzle brake from the prison armory and uses it throughout the film. During the battle with Wesker, Chris fired his weapon 12 times using only the burst mode. These are 36 shots without reloading, not bad for a 20-round magazine.
Beretta 90Two
Claire uses a Beretta 90-Two throughout the film, taken from the prison armory.
SIG-Sauer P230
Bennett (Kim Coates) carries a SIG-Sauer P230 with ivory grips in the film.
Taurus PT92
Luther (Boris Kodjoe) carries as his primary weapon throughout the movie a Taurus PT92 (noted by the frame mounted safety). At the end of the movie he wields two akimbo style while coming out of the sewer.
SIG-Sauer P226R
Umbrella Corporation employees in Tokyo carry SIG-Sauer P226R's as their sidearms. They open fire with them during the attack of the Alice clones.
Shotguns
Dual 12 Gauge Sawed-Off Double Barreled Shotguns
As in the previous 2 films (Apocalypse and Extinction), Alice (Milla Jovovich) wields pairs of weapons. In this film, she wields a pair of Sawed-Off 12 Gauge Double Barreled Shotguns in a dual shoulder rig setup. She fills her shotgun shells with quarters to create more damage and spread, but these would not fit in even the most overbored 12 gauge barrel (standard sizes are 18.5mm-20.3mm, a quarter is 24mm). Pennies and dimes are the only coins that would fit a twelve gauge. Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) also uses one of Alice's shotguns during her confrontation with the Executioner.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Alice (Milla Jovovich) uses an Heckler & Koch MP5K that is thrown to her by Claire when the survivors are fighting off zombies on the prison rooftop. She uses it until it runs empty.
Brügger & Thomet MP-9
Alice's clones use Brügger & Thomet MP-9 machine pistols (as evidenced by the integral rails on the top) during their assault on the Umbrella Facility in Japan. These are also seen in dual thigh holsters at the end of the film.
Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
The U.B.C.S. troopers are armed with M4A1 carbines fitted with EOTech 552 holosights, RIS, laser sights, and tactical weaponlights as they engage the Alice clone. An Alice clone is seen using one as well.
Heckler & Koch HK91
Angel Ortiz (Sergio Peris-Mencheta) main weapon is a Heckler & Koch HK91 fitted with a railed handguard. Kim Yong (Norman Yeung) can be seen holding it in some scenes.
Steyr HS.50
A .50 BMG Steyr HS.50 long-range rifle is used by an Umbrella sniper at the film's beginning.
Machine Guns
PKM
A PKM machine gun is seen mounted on an Umbrella Humvee during the assault on the Umbrella HQ.
Browning M2 HB
Browning M2 machine guns are seen mounted on Umbrella Humvees during the assault on the Umbrella HQ.
Other
Heckler & Koch P2A1 Flare Pistol
Angel Ortiz (Sergio Peris-Mencheta) is seen using a Heckler & Koch P2A1 Flare Pistol.
Incendiary grenades
High-yield incendiary grenades are used by Alice's clones during the assault on the Umbrella HQ.
Gun Cache
Alice and Chris uncover a hidden weapons cache in the prison.
