Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a 3D platform adventure video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix for the PC, PS3, X360, and mobile platforms in 2010. It is a spin-off of the long-running Tomb Raider video game series. Guardian of Light focuses heavily on co-op, where Lara teams up with Totec, a 2000-year-old Mayan warrior, to stop Xolotl and retrieve the Mirror of Smoke, a powerful artifact.
Five DLC's have been released for the game. Three of them add new maps and challenges, the other two add new playable characters; Raziel and Kain (from the Legacy of Kain series) and the infamous criminal duo, Kane and Lynch from the game Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, which was also published by Square Enix.
The following weapons appear in the video game Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light:
Overview
All weapons, except the USP Matches and the spear use the same ammunition pool, represented by a blue bar. Each weapons has a set ammo consumption rate. It is also possible to increase the bar by picking up "Ammo Powerups". Certain Artifacts grant ammo regeneration ability, increased damage, rate of fire or spread radius.
Handguns
Heckler & Koch USP Match
Akimbo Heckler & Koch USP Matches are the default weapons of Lara Croft (voiced by Keeley Hawes), or other characters, depending on the DLC's the player has purchased. During the cut-scenes the pistols are modeled with incorrect slide-mounted safeties, like in the other Tomb Raider video games, however the inventory icon shows it correctly. The USP's have unlimited ammunition. Referred to as "Handguns".
"First Model" CZ 75
Dual "First Model" CZ 75 pistols appear in the game as "Automatic Pistols". The name can be confusing since ALL weapons fire continuously if the fire key is held. Does not pack much power, but consumes ammo really slowly. The developers probably confused the models, as the "First Model" CZ 75 was not offered in fully-automatic mode.
IMI/Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark VII
The Desert Eagle Mark VII appears as "Hand Cannons" in the game. Dual wielded, like the other handguns.
Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic
Dual Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic revolvers appear as "Magnums" in the game.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5SD1
Akimbo Heckler & Koch MP5SD1 submachine guns appear in the game as "Dual SMG". They does not sound suppressed when fired and produce large muzzle flashes. Also, the world-model of the gun has an M4-style adjustable stock.
Heckler & Koch MP5SD3
The H&K MP5SD3 appears as "Submachine Gun" in the game and is equipped with SEF trigger group and new version buttstock. Fitted with a "fake" suppressor, as the SD1. Like with all the H&K weapons, its inventory icon is drawn without the magazine release paddle. The world-model of this MP5 is also from an AR-type rifle.
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
The Heckler & Koch MP5A2 appears as pick-up model of the SD1 and SD3. Not usable by the in-game characters.
IMI Uzi
Akimbo Uzis return from Underworld as the "Lightweight Machine Pistols". The Uzis have a wide spread, which can serve as an advantage or disadvantage, depending on the scenario.
Shotguns
FN Tactical Police Shotgun
The FN Tactical Police Shotgun is the first shotgun that can be found in the game, therefore it is also the weakest. It also has the slowest pumping speed of all shotguns.
Benelli Nova
The Benelli Nova is the most powerful shotgun in the game. Called "Golden Shotgun", in case one missed the golden finish it has.
Daewoo USAS-12 CQ
The USAS-12 appears as "Automatic Shotgun". Has a very slow rate of fire and large spread.
Remington 870
Lynch can be seen holding a Remington 870 shotgun on the DLC selection screen.
Custom Remington 870
A customized Remington 870 shotgun (noted by the distinctive trigger guard) appears as "High Power Shotgun" in the game. The shotgun features a pistol grip, a vertical fore-grip, heat-shield and spare shell holder.
12 Gauge O/U Shotgun
One of the usable shotguns is an Over/Under Shotgun dubbed as "Double Barrel Shotgun".
Rifles
Colt Model 727
The Model 727 appears as "Assault Rifle". The first automatic weapon the player can obtain. The inventory icon shows it with LE buttstock and 20-round magazine, but during the cutscenes it appears with the custom buttstock seen in Underworld.
AK-47
The AK-47 appears as "AR-06" in the game. It is also used by enemy mercenaries in cut-scenes. The AK is fitted with a Bakelite magazine on the inventory screen.
Heckler & Koch G3A3
The G3A3 appears as "High Power Assault Rifle" and as the name suggests, it is a better version of the M727.
Heckler & Koch MSG90
The Heckler & Koch MSG90 appears as "Fast Action Rifle".
Generic Bolt-Action Rifle
A generic bolt-action rifle is among the usable weapons.
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
The Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I appears as the world-model of the "Bolt Action Rifle" and as the pick-up model of the Barrett.
Barrett M107CQ
The Barrett M107CQ appears as "High Power Single Shot Rifle" and is capable of killing smaller enemies with one shot. The characters are seen pulling the bolt after every shot. The world-model of the M82CQ is same as the G3A3's - a badly modeled G3A3 without magazine.
SIG SG 552
On the loading screen Kane can be seen holding a SIG SG 552 with an ACOG and detachable cheek riser. The picture used there is actually a recolored promo image for the video game Kane & Lynch: Dead Men.
Heavy Weapons
Handheld M134 "Minigun"
A Hand Held M134 Minigun appears as "Chaingun" in the game. A weapon with high damage, ROF and moderate ammo consumption rate.
Mk 153 Mod 0 SMAW
The Mk 153 SMAW appears as "Rocket Launcher" in the game. Fires homing missiles. Can take out large groups of enemies with one rocket. Certain monsters, like the T-Rex can only be harmed with this weapon. If the relic bar is full, it fires two rockets at the same time.
Milkor MGL Mk 1S
Two variants of the MGL Mk 1S (noted by the adjustable butt-stock and rails around the barrel) are present in the game. The "Grenade Launcher" is the first variant, and the "Heavy Grenade Launcher" is the advanced version with slightly better stats. This weapon can be used to knock off the shields of the Shield Demons. If the relic meter is full, the MGL Mk 1 S can fire two grenades at the same time. Appears with black finish.
Milkor MGL
Strangely, the inventory icon of the "Grenade Launcher" and "Heavy Grenade Launcher" is the older Milkor MGL.
Flamethrower
A powerful weapon for close quarter encounters. Two versions are present: "Flamethrower" and "High Power Flamethrower".
Remote Bomb
Remote bombs can be placed to destroy obstacles or set up traps for enemies. Both players have infinite supplies of bombs.
