Tomb Raider: Underworld is the eightth game in the Tomb Raider series and resumes the adventure where Tomb Raider: Legend left off. It also addresses elements of the plot left unexplained in Legend and Tomb Raider: Anniversary. It is the third game in the series to be developed by Crystal Dynamics and is also the first game to be released on the PlayStation 3. It is the only game in the entire Tomb Raider series in which Lara is depicted as being a left-handed shooter.
The following weapons appear in the video game Tomb Raider: Underworld:
Heckler & Koch USP Match
Lara Croft's (voiced by Keeley Hawes) signature pistols are two Heckler & Koch USP Matches chambered in .45 ACP. Both pistols have a 12-round magazine, for a total of 24 rounds. They have unlimited overall ammo, as with most previous Tomb Raider games (excluding The Angel of Darkness).
IMI Uzi
The IMI Uzi appears in Underworld as "Autsi submachine gun". It has a different stock and charging handle, and is always dual-wielded. It is a formidable weapon with a high rate of fire and moderate accuracy.
Colt Model 727
The Model 727 appears in Underworld with a custom buttstock and flash hider. It is called "A12 Carbine" in the game. It holds 30 rounds in the magazine and Lara can carry up to 120 rounds for this weapon.
Norinco Type 56
Amanda's mercenaries carry old version Norinco Type 56 rifles. A version with black synthetic instead of wood was intended to be usable by Lara but was cut, this can be see in the DS version of all things, as it's pre-rendered cutscenes were recorded with a very early version of the game.
FN TPS
The FN Tactical Police Shotgun appears in the game as "GN Tactical Shotgun". It appears with a Surefire dedicated for-end weapon-light and C-More Systems Red Dot Sight. The tubular magazine holds 6 shells, while the real weapon holds 5 or 8 shells. IT is deadly in close quarters.
Spear gun
Called "Stingray T-40 Carbon" in the game. It is the only gun in the game that can be used underwater, to kill sharks. Its effectiveness is dramatically reduced on land. It appears to be very loosely based on the Tippmann 98 Custom.
Tranquilizer gun
A bolt-action tranquilizer gun called "MK-5" appears in the game. Like the spear gun above it appears to be very loosely based on the Tippmann 98 Custom.
Sticky grenade
These are fragmentation grenades that can stick to surfaces and enemies. Lara can carry up to 10 of them.
