Smallville was an American television sci-fi drama that was a different take on the "Superman" character. The series followed a young Clark Kent (Tom Welling) slowly discovering his superpowers in his rural American town. Unlike other versions of the character, Clark never actually becomes Superman (until the final season of the series). The series aired for 10 seasons from 2001 to 2011 on the WB network, which eventually become the CW.
