The MAC Mle 1950 (also known as the MAC-50 or the MAS Mle. 1950) is an improved version of the MAS M1935S that was adopted by the French military in 1950 as a replacement for the M1935 series of pistols. Produced by Manufacture d'Armes de Chatellerault (MAC) between 1953 and 1963 and later by Manufacture d'armes de Saint-Étienne (MAS) from 1966 to 1978, the MAC Mle 1950 remained in French military service until 2010 when it was superseded by the PAMAS G1.
