Captain Marvel is the 2019 MCU feature film adaptation of the Marvel Comics character. Brie Larson stars as the title character, a super-powered being whose memories reveal that she might have had a past on the planet Earth. Set primarily in the year 1995, the film also features Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, at an early point in their SHIELD careers. The film was part of "Phase Three" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and was released on March 8, 2019, just 7 weeks prior to the premiere of Avengers: Endgame.

Agents of SHIELD appear to be armed with the SIG-Sauer P226. Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) also appears to carry the pistol when impersonating SHIELD Director Keller. This pistol is also carried by both agents Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) appears to be armed with a SIG-Sauer P229R instead of the P226 when he confronts Fury and Vers (Brie Larson).
