It is listed as the "M16A3", is fully automatic, and once again seems to be the starting weapon of the USMC Assault class, just like in Battlefield 3. However, according to recent tweets from the lead core gameplay designer for the game, the M16A3 that will be used in multiplayer is actually mislabeled and will be the three-round burst M16A4.

When aiming down the sights, the front sight post/gas block disappears. Notice the more appropriate M4 reticle, as opposed to the M240/249 reticle that is also available on this Elcan model. Note also, however, that this is apparently a magic Elcan scope which can magnify things outside it just as much as things visible though it.
