Badland is a 2019 Western movie written and directed by Justin Lee. A decade after the American Civil War, a Pinkerton detective Matthias Breecher (Kevin Makely) travels to the West with a mission to track down several Confederate war criminals and carry out the death sentence. But meeting with the daughter of one of those men changes Bricher's plans.
The following weapons were used in the film Badland:
Revolvers
Single Action Army "Artillery" Model
Matthias Breecher (Kevin Makely) carries a matched pair of nickel plated, pearl gripped Single Action Army "Artillery" model revolvers (funny, on the film poster Breecher is armed with not two but three revolvers, two in hands and the third one in shoulder holster). Common "Artillery" revolvers are used by numerous characters, including former Confederate General Corbin Dandridge (Trace Adkins), bounty hunter Harlan Red (Wes Studi), landowner Fred Quaid (James Russo) and his men Hector (Omid Zader) and Omar Ferrer (Oscar Leiva), and Sheriff Wainwright's deputies Jasper Mortenson (Ryan Kelley) and Deacon Ryader (Aidan Bristow).
Single Action Army "Civilian" Model
Some minor characters are armed with Single Action Army "Civilian" model revolvers.
Umarex Single Action Army
A Single Action Army revolver in holster of a man in the saloon turns out to be an Umarex airsoft gun, judging by the screw hole of the CO2 cartridge compartment in the grip.
Single Action Army (mockup)
In one scene Breecher's revolver is substituted with a mockup gun.
Colt 1860 (Richards Conversion)
Terminally ill Reginald Cooke (Bruce Dern) holds a Colt 1860 (Richards Conversion) revolver during the confrontation with Fred Quaid.
Remington 1858 New Army (Cartridge Conversion)
Sheriff Huxsley Wainwright (Jeff Fahey) carries a Remington 1858 New Army (Cartridge Conversion) revolver.
Smith & Wesson Model 3
A Smith & Wesson Model 3 revolver is a handgun of a gambler in the saloon.
Unidentified revolvers
One of the saloon patrons carries a long barreled revolver that may be a Single Action Army "Cavalry" model or a cartridge conversion 1851 Navy or 1860 Army.
One of Gen. Dandridge's henchmen is armed with an open-top cartridge revolver that may be a Colt 1872 Open Top or some cap and ball revolver with Richards-Mason Conversion.
Rifles
Spencer 1860
Matthias Breecher's (Kevin Makely) long gun is a Spencer 1860 carbine.
Henry 1860
Sarah Cooke (Mira Sorvino) holds a Henry 1860 rifle in several scenes. An uncredited Sheriff's deputy holds a Henry rifle during the confrontation with Breecher in hotel room.
Shotguns
Colt Model 1878
Colt Model 1878 shotguns are used by Sheriff Huxsley Wainwright (Jeff Fahey), one of his unnamed deputies and Quaid's henchman Leonard Black (Todd A. Robinson).
