Armed and Dangerous is a 1986 action comedy directed by Mark L. Lester. John Candy stars as Frank Dooley, an LAPD officer that is framed for theft and dismissed from the police. He gets a job in Guard Dog Security agency where he partners with Norman Kane (Eugene Levy), an unlucky defense attorney. Soon Dooley and Kane find out that the agency is involved in the dark deeds of Michael Carlino (Robert Loggia), the chairman of the security guard's union.

The following weapons were used in the film Armed and Dangerous:

Revolvers

Colt Python

While on police service, Officer Frank Dooley (John Candy) carries the Colt Python with 6" barrel as his service sidearm.

Smith & Wesson Model 15

Smith & Wesson Model 15 revolvers are service sidearms of security guards, including Frank Dooley (John Candy), Norman Kane (Eugene Levy), Capt. Clarence O'Connell (Kenneth McMillan), Sgt. Maggie Cavanaugh (Meg Ryan), Kokolovitch (Larry Hankin), Butcher (Robert Gray), Raisin (Larry Flash Jenkins), Bruno (Tommy "Tiny" Lister) and Olaf (Saveliy Kramarov).

Smith & Wesson Model 36

Det. Mel Nedler (Robert Burgos) and Carlino's hitman Clyde Klepper (Jonathan Banks) carry Smith & Wesson Model 36 revolvers in several scenes. During the scene in Carlino's estate, Frank Dooley's (John Candy) Colt Detective Special switches to the S&W Model 36 due to continuity error. Capt. Clarence O'Connell (Kenneth McMillan) uses the Model 36 revolver in the same scene.

Colt Detective Special

Colt Detective Special is Frank Dooley's (John Candy) backup gun. Later he uses Smith & Wesson Model 36 instead of Colt.

Freedom Arms Model 83

In the final scene Frank Dooley (John Candy) arms himself with the Freedom Arms Model 83 revolver with sniper scope. He incorrectly claims it to be ".50 caliber". After all action is over, Dooley gifts the revolver to The Cowboy (Steve Railsback).

Pistols

Desert Eagle Mark I

When Dooley and Kane escape from Carlino's estate, Anthony Lazarus (Brion James) fires a pistol that appears to be Desert Eagle Mark I.

Submachine Guns

Sterling

During the robbery of the pharmaceutical company's warehouse, Anthony Lazarus (Brion James) and Clyde Klepper (Jonathan Banks) use Sterling submachine guns.

Heckler & Koch HK94A3

During the chase for the armored truck, Dolan (John Solari) fires the Heckler & Koch MP5A3, fitted with some sighting device. As the weapon lacks the magazine paddle release, it appears to be chopped and converted Heckler & Koch HK94A3.

The "Fake MP5", the Heckler & Koch HK94A3 Converted to full auto fire, shortened barrel and added third firing position on trigger pack - 9x19mm. This version was used in many films during the 1980s and 1990s. The weapon pictured here may or may not be one of the screen-used HK94s from Air Force One.
Dolan unsuccessfully fires at the armored truck.

Shotguns

Ithaca 37

Ithaca 37 shotguns with extended magazine tubes are seen in hands of security guards.

Other Weapons

Fictional Missile Launcher

In the final scene one of Carlino's henchmen fires a missile launcher at the armoured truck. It appears to be a fictional weapon, styled after Carl Gustav Recoilless Rifle.

The gunner, disguised as ice cream man, readies to fire the launcher.

O'Connell's Guns

Several handguns are used as decoration in Capt. O'Connell's office.

A pair of revolvers are seen at the left. The one on top (red 1) seems to be some Gasser model, like M1870/74 Montenegrin or M1876. A snub nose revolver (red 2) is seen below.
A Beretta pistol is seen at the left.
A pump action shotgun (red 1) is seen at the left, and a revolver (red 2) at the right.
