The Type 79 is a Chinese submachine gun. They appear to have been primarily manufactured by Factory 346 (now known as Chongqing Tsingshan Industrial Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China South Industries Group), though a "Shanghai-made" (exact manufacturer unknown) clone also exists.
