Daredevil is a Netflix original television series that is based on the Marvel superhero of the same name, created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series chronicles the adventures of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), after being blinded in an accident in his youth, finds that his other senses have been heightened. As an adult, Murdock juggles dual identities, as a lawyer by day and by night as the vigilante crime fighter known as Daredevil, fighting a one man war to clean up Hell's Kitchen. The series is the first of four Netflix original series set in the MCU that highlights Marvel's "street-level" heroes. The superhero was previously adapted in a 2003 feature film that starred Ben Affleck.
