Iron Man 3 is the third installment in the Iron Man film franchise. Shane Black takes over as director and Robert Downey, Jr. returns as Tony Stark. Set after the events seen in The Avengers, the film finds Stark dealing with a new adversary who calls himself the Mandarin. Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle return for the sequel in addition to Jon Favreau, who after directing the first Iron Man films, reprises his role as Happy Hogan for the third. New to the Marvel Cinematic Universe are Ben Kingsley, Guy Pearce, and James Badge Dale. The film also is part of "Phase Two" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that includes Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Col. James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) uses a Beretta 92FS Inox at the Mandarin's villa and later on Killian's platform.

The SIG-Sauer P229R is seen in the hands of Secret Service Agents as well as Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce). Tony Stark also seen holding a SIG when he and Rhodes are at the docks. At one point, Tony asks Rhodes for another mag for his pistol, not knowing that the magazines are not interchangeable. What appears to be a Kimber Custom TLE II pistol is taken by Ellen Brandt from the town sheriff. Tony also takes one off one Savin's guards as well.

This version has no rails and is the version used in the Television series The Unit


Submachine Guns
MAC-10
Stark is seen wielding a MAC-10 fitted with a small barrel shroud that was taken off a thug. Upon closer inspection, this weapon is actually a Non Gun replica.
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Some of the men that accompany Killian are armed with the Heckler & Koch MP5K.

Vz. 61 Skorpion
Some of the Extremis soldiers are armed with the Sa. Vz. 61 Skorpion.
