Assassin's Creed Chronicles is a spin-off episodic trilogy of the Assassin's Creed series, moving the action to a 2.5D stealth format similar to Mark of the Ninja.
Each Episode follows a different assassin with a different art-style to fit each location:
China takes place in 1526 China following the events of Assassin's Creed Embers following Shao Jun, who has returned to China following the events of the short film to take revenge on the Templar after they wiped out the Chinese Brotherhood.
India is set in 1841 following Arbaaz Mir as he attempts to steal back the Koh-i-Noor diamond from the Templar during the first Anglo-Afghan War.
Russia is set during the October Revolution in 1918 with Nikolai Orelov, who is sent on one final mission by the Assassins and finds himself protecting Anastasia Nikolaevna after saving her.
Each installment follows the same game-play formula with tweaks to fit each game's setting.
The following weapons appear in the video game Assassin's Creed Chronicles:
China
Crossbow
Two different models of Crossbow appear being used by guards. "Crossbowman" use a small crossbow that fires slowly while "Heavy Crossbowman" carry a larger two handed crossbow that can fire rapidly.
Ming Dynasty Musket
What the game calls the "Ming Dynasty Musket" appears again after previously appearing in Embers and is used by Handcannon guards. While the crossbows have a line that turns white-to-red indicating when they will fire, the Musket only has it's fuse burning down as an indicator.
India
Flintlock Pistol
An unknown Flintlock Pistol is used by some guards.
Revolver
East India Company Sergeants and Lieutenants use a revolver.
Jezail Musket
The Jezail Musket is used by Sikh guards in India with it's long length preventing the player from rolling over guards after blocking a melee attack.
Brown Bess Flintlock Musket
East India Company Riflemen use the Brown Bess Flintlock Musket. Arbaaz briefly makes use of one himself in sequence 8 which is aimed through a scope that isn't visible on the actual firearm as well as being semi-automatic that is also oddly left behind at every sniper nest, only for Abraaz to suddenly have a new one upon reaching the next nest that he promptly leaves behind again.
"Repeater Rifle"
East India Company Snipers carry what the game calls a "Repeater Rifle"
Blunderbuss
The Blunderbuss returns from Freedom Cry and Unity but unlike those games it is only used by "Highlander" enemies.
"Puckle Gun"
The "Puckle gun" appears as as a mounted weapon used by some enemies. Like in Rogue is is inaccurately depicted as functioning like a fast firing machine gun.
"Indian 9-Pounder"
Indian 9-Pounder cannons appear in the Herat Citadel.
Mortars
Mortars appear briefly in sequence 8.
Russia
Revolver
A Revolver is used by Milita Sergeants and Red Army Officers.
FN Model 1903
The FN Browning Model 1903 is used by Red Army Assault troops and NKVD Officers.
Mauser C96
The Mauser C96 appears being used rarely by enemies and fires in automatic bursts.
Shotgun
A Shotgun is used by Cheka Assault.
Berdan Rifle
The Berdan Rifle is used by Militia Riflemen.
Mosin-Nagant Carbine Rifle
The Mosin Nagant Rifle is used by the Red Army. Most troops carry a carbine version however "Red Army Veterans" carry a "full-size" (despite visually seemingly being the same length) version with a bayonet that they are also capable of somehow firing semi-automatically in combat.
Nikolai's Rifle
Nikolai uses what is claimed to be a modified Berdan Rifle in the Database, personally modified by Fedor Tokarev for Nikolai. The player can only carry 3 rounds initially (then 6 with an upgrade) however this limitation only applies to "normal" use, Nikolai can fire his rifle during certain finisher animations/sniping sections without relying on this ammo reserve.
Maxim M1910
The Maxim M1910 appears rarely.
Pressure Mine
"Pressure Mines" that omit a yellow light and explode if Nikolai or Anastasia walk over them, guards can walk past them safely due to having a "Magnetic Key" with Nikolai/Anastasia able to get past them by either sticking close to a guard or stealing the key from them.
Winch
A winch made partially from a rifle is used by Nikolai
