Ready Player One is the 2018 feature film adaptation of the Ernest Cline novel of the same name. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film follows Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan), a young gamer living in the year 2045 who is intent on finding the secret Easter Egg hidden in a worldwide virtual reality environment known as the "Oasis". Both the novel and the film feature several pop culture references, particularly from films made in the 1980's and several iconic weapons from this era are featured.

Handguns
Glock 17
The police officers, including Officer Simmons (Stephen Mitchell), as well as the IOI tactical team, carry Glock 17s in holsters. Nolan Sorrento (Ben Mendelsohn) also requires the pistol from his enforcer when going after Parzival.

Glock 21
Due to a continuity error in one scene, Nolan Sorrento (Ben Mendelsohn) holds what appears to be a Glock 21 instead of a 17.

IMI Desert Eagle Mark VII
Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) points the suppressed IMI Desert Eagle Mark VII at Nolan Sorrento in IOI headquarters.

Heckler & Koch Mark 23
Sabotaging IOI headquarters Toshiro (Win Morisaki) holds a Heckler & Koch Mark 23 with a suppressor.

SIG-Sauer P232
F'Nale Zandor (Hannah John-Kamen) offers Nolan a SIG-Sauer P232 to solve his problems.

Taser X26
IOI operatives carry Taser X26s in holsters during the raid at gunters' hideout.
Submachine Guns
M1928 Thompson
The Joker Avatar is armed with a M1928 Thompson during the final battle. Another Thompson is also seen in i-R0k's inventory.
Fictional Firearms
The Oasis features several characters from iconic films and videogames, and several weapons from these films and games are featured.
Beretta 93R "Auto 9"
The "Auto 9", the modified Beretta 93R machine pistol from the original RoboCop, is briefly used by Parzival during the shootout in the "Distracted Globe" dance club.

EM-1 Railgun
During the battle on the planet Doom at the beginning of the film, Aech (Lena Waithe) picks up the EM-1 Railgun, the fictional weapon from the 1996 film Eraser, from the ground and fires it at the enemies.
"Lawgiver II"
Art3mis (Olivia Cooke) also uses the "Lawgiver II" from the 1995 feature film adaptation of Judge Dredd during Sixers' attack at the "Distracted Globe" dance club.
M41A Pulse Rifle
Art3mis (Olivia Cooke) uses the M41A Pulse Rifle from the film Aliens during the invasion of Sixers on the "Distracted Globe" dance club and later briefly attacking Sorrento in Mechagodzilla during the final battle.

MA5B Assault Rifle (Halo)
During the battle on the planet Doom at the beginning of the film, Aech (Lena Waithe) uses the MA5B assault rifle from Halo videogame. Several Spartans are also use rifles during the final battle.
Mal's Sidearm (Modified Taurus 85)
The modified Taurus Model 85 from the series Firefly is briefly seen in an arms display in Sorento's office.

Mark 2 Lancer Assault Rifle (Gears of War)
Art3mis briefly uses a Mark 2 Lancer Assault Rifle from Gears of War videogame during the final battle.
C-14 Impaler Gauss Rifle (StarCraft)
Fighting on the Doom planet, Rick (Ralph Ineson), in the form of his avatar Jim Raynor from StarCraft, uses a C-14 Impaler gauss rifle.
Various Weapons
The Sixers use fictional laser weapons throughout the film. Parzival uses the fictional double barrel shotgun during the final battle.
