World War 3 is a 2018 free-to-play multiplayer first-person shooter game by Polish developer The Farm 51 (NecroVisioN, Deadfall Adventures, Get Even, Chernobylite). Taking place in a contemporary era where the eponymous global conflict erupted between the eastern and the western nations.

The following weapons appear in the video game World War 3:

Overview

Following a trend in recent multiplayer military shooters, the game features a significant amount of weapon customization options, though there is a maximum of 5 mod slots that can be applied to a weapon at once.

Weapons can transitioned to be held at an angle (known as "point shooting") which allows for a less obstructive view and full use of a laser sight. Pistols are held in center axis relock for this animation.

Handguns

Most pistols available in-game have threaded barrels for mounting muzzle attachments.

Caracal Enhanced F

The Caracal Enhanced F was added in Operation Skyfront.

Caracal Enhanced F with traditional 3-dot sights - 9x19mm

Desert Eagle Mark XIX

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX was added to the game.

Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX with stainless steel finish, railed frame, railed barrel and integral muzzle brake - .50 AE

Glock 17 Gen 4

A 4th generation Glock 17 with a threaded barrel appears simply as the "G17" and it is unlocked by default. It is fitted with a Glock adjustable rear sight, fiber optic front sight (seemingly inspired by the HIVIZ Ruger front sight) and knurled thread protector. Customization options include different iron sights (such as the Dead Ringer Snake Eyes Sights and CAT OS Magnet laser rear sight), compact red dot sights which replace the rear sight (and seemingly remove the front sight) and different lights and lasers. The Glock 17 can also be fitted with a SilencerCo Osprey Suppressor or ZEV Gen 1 Pro Compensator, Glock 17-round magazine, ProMag 25-round mag or 50-round SGM Tactical drum mag and can also be fitted with grip tape. It can be modified with a Glock 17L-style slide (using the "G17 Marksman Barrel") or a Glock 34-style one (using the "G17 Standard Barrel"), though these slides retain the Glock 17's default markings (the default barrel being called the "G17 Compact Barrel") and gain front serrations seemingly based on various aftermarket modifications due to them being located noticeably rearwards compared to factory slides.

MasterPiece Arms MPA930DMG

The MasterPiece Arms MPA930DMG was added to the game, referred to as the "DMG Nine-Milli". It is depicted as fully-automatic rather than semi-automatic. It is available in level 45.

PL-14 Lebedev

The PL-14 prototype of the Lebedev pistol with the threaded extended barrel of the PL-15 prototype (alongside markings for safety and black backstrap) is available in the game at level 29. Much like the Lebedev SP1 sporting pistol it has interchangeable sights with the Glock. It can also use the same muzzle devices. It is incorrectly described as using 9x18mm Makarov ammunition as opposed to its actual use of 9x19mm Parabellum. Two fictional longer slides are available.

VIS 100

The VIS 100 is a pistol option in the game. Initially, it was modeled after 3D printed mock-up prototype designs of the PR-15 Ragun (the former name of the VIS 100) made by FB "Łucznik" Radom first shown in 2012. The in-game model was changed to the VIS 100 production version following a 2021 update, though it is still referred to as the "Ragun". It is unlocked at level 5. The in-game version incorrectly features a burst-fire selector that is somehow operated by flicking the gun to the side, without using their fingers to switch modes.

Submachine Guns

PM-98

The PM-98 Glauberyt is available, simply named "Glauberyt". The markings on the receiver incorrectly label it as the modernized PM-06, and the weapon is erroneously depicted as being chambered in 9x18mm Makarov; this type of ammunition is used by the earlier PM-84 in reality. It is unlocked at level 14.

Initially, it was fitted by default with the longer barrel of the BRS-99, the civilian version of the PM-06. Currently, the default barrel is a compact one, and it can be replaced by a standard PM-98 style barrel or a BRS-99's barrel.

PP-19-01 "Vityaz-SN"

The PP-19-01 Vityaz-SN appears. It is designated as the "Vityaz". The Vityaz submachine gun is available from the start.

SIG-Sauer MPX

The SIG-Sauer MPX is featured in the game as the "SIG". It's obtained at level 31.

The weapon is shown with a two-position fire selector, indicating that it is modeled after a civilian SBR variant. The selector switch was initially set to the corresponding semi-auto mode; following an update, it is now set to the full-auto position, even though it still lacks the full-auto markings and the pin for the auto sear.

SIG-Sauer MPX SBR (Gen 1) fitted with a KeyMod handguard - 9x19mm. It can be distinguished from the Gen 2 version by the different bolt carrier and dust cover, and the standard MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. It is also typically seen with a non-ambidextrous charging handle.

Remington 870

A Remington 870 in a tactical configuration is available in the game. It is referred to as the MCS variant, but it isn't actually modeled after this one, mainly due to the different pumping handle. It features long, medium, and short barrel customization options. It's available starting from level 8.

Rifles

AK-12

The 2013 prototype of the AK-12 appears, chambered in in 7.62x39mm. It is referred to as the "AK-15", but this designation in reality was given to the 7.62x39mm AK-12 model from 2016 onwards; as such, that labeling isn't appropriate for in the in-game version. The AK-12 is unlocked at level 27.

Following an update, the weapon's handguard was changed to that of the production model of the AK-12/AK-15.

AK-Alfa

A conceptual rifle jointly developed between CAA of Israel and Kalashnikov USA, the AK-Alfa is featured in the game as the "Alpha". It's available at level 51, making it only available after completing all 51 ranks as a lategame unlock. The in-game model has a 45 degree gas block and a standard AK-Alfa handguard, the latter of which can be replaced by a KeyMod handguard.

Daewoo K2C1

The Daewoo K2C1 was added in Season 1: Operation Redline. By default it is fitted with a 20-round STANAG magazine and DoubleStar ACE SOCOM Gen 3 stock (with the added loop hole from the airsoft Madbull ACE Socom stock). It incorrectly has US import markings instead of Korean Military markings, including a comical "Doeboo Precision Industries LTD", which is a obvious parody of Daewoo's full name. The front sight can be folded, but only with the specific folded sight handguard fitted. It can have its barrel swapped with a shorter one and shorter handguard, though it appears to be a cut down K2C1 handguard rather than a K2C handguard (the alternate handguard option for it is more true to the actual K2C handguard, though the vent holes are completely different). The barrel extending past the front sight is also much shorter than the one on the K2C. The "Drought" blueprint gives the rifle with a standard K2 handguard (which can also be fitted without the paintjob on other builds), Magpul UBR Gen 1 stock and EOTech 556 A65 HOLO (?) sight.

FB MSBS Grot B16 FB-A0

First appearing in the game's PTE server, the FB MSBS Grot B16 FB-A0 was added with the 0.2 patch as the "MSBS-B". It is chambered in .300 AAC Blackout, and it is unlocked at level 39. By default it has the handguard of the MSBS-5.56B, but it can be swapped out as with the other barrel options.

The FB MSBS Grot C16 FB-A0, referred simply to as the "MSBS", is the default assault rifle as of the 0.2 patch. By default it has the handguard of the MSBS-5.56K, but it can be swapped out as with the other barrel options. The stock can be swapped with a fixed on or AR-style one.

FB Grot 762N

The FB MSBS Grot 762N was added in Season 4 "Evergreen" and appears as "MSBS-N". It is incorrectly depicted as being capable of burst fire. By default it is fitted with the MSBS-5.56K's handguard. It shares most of the customization options as the Grot C16.

Heckler & Koch HK416

The Heckler & Koch HK416 first appeared in the Gamescom 2018 build of the game. Initially, it was called "G38" (which is the designation of the HK416 A5 variant in German service), then under its real name in the beta, but the name was later changed to "M416" for the final release. It is fitted with a Geissele SMR handguard, a Magpul BAD lever, and a ridiculously oversized HK417 A2 buttstock. It's unlocked at level 21.

Heckler & Koch HK417 A2

The Heckler & Koch HK417 A2 with black finish (and barrels, gas blocks and handguards from the original HK417) was added to the game as the "M417". As with the HK416, it once more is adored with the "Deckler & Koth GmbH" markings, with the specic name "DK 417 A2". The SPUHR R-211 9.5" short handguard is available for all barrel types, though it shortens the gas block positions for the longer ones. After a nerf the rifle now has a much slower fire rate than in reality, seemingly around 450-500 rpm.

Howa Type 89

A Howa Type 89 based on various both the ACIES and airsoft modernization kits was added in Operation Sunstorm. It can only fire in burst or semi-auto. The fully railed handguard appears to be based on the airsoft OTS 89 Flat Railed Handguard, while the upper is based on the railed 2007 ACIES weapon program Lightweight Rifle mockupup, and the stock is based on the 2012 ACIES LWR, which featured an ACR stock and railed handguard (which was also a thing for the 2008 mockup). As with the Daewoo K2C1, it is loaded with a 20-round magazine by default. Unfortunately it uses the default STANAG magazines and not the magazines with witness holes.

On his right are two operators of the JMSDF Special Boarding Unit, with the closer "SBU Breacher" wearing a Devtac Ronin, which they do not use in reality.
The Type 89 fitted with a 30-round STANAG mag in the customization menu. The left side fire selector is incorrectly modeled after the one on the right side instead of the unique one created for one of the mid-life upgrades for the Type 89. The bolt release is also much too flat compared with the angled bulge of the real release and the pistol grip has an added finger grooved glove which is likely based on an AR-patterned grips. Note the Type 89's flash hider isn't unlocked until the weapon is level 31.
Dissasembled.

Also note the elevated platform connecting to Shibuya Station, which is not planned with the actual upgrades the station is getting in reality, though the Ginza Platform upgrade behind it is mostly correct. Miyashita Park to the left appears to be modeled after the pre-redevelopment version of the park.
Holding his Type 89 at the famous Shibuya Crossing as a J-Alert about the PLA's invasion plays on the Tsutaya building's TV. This rendition of Shibuya is slightly more faithful to the real deal than the one in Ghostwire: Tokyo, though that one incorporated other neighborhoods in Tokyo.
Point shooting to give a good view of the chamber while standing inside a much different renovation of the Tsutaya Shibuya location. Note the Shibuya Sky on the left.
At the Inokashira-Dori intersection removing the spent magazine upon running empty. How exactly this is accomplished given the character never interacts with the release is a mystery. For the tactical reload they do use the release (with their trigger finger).
About to load some more 5.56 goodness at Hachiko Square while pondering where said pup went (the The Myth of Tomorrow mural and some other artistic landmarks are also absent in-game). Note the Aogaeru information carriage, which was replaced in 2020 with the Hachi Box information center.

The fictional longer barrel option.
A few skins such as the "Ashi" and "Deciduous" skins give the Type 89 a handguard the length from the ACIES Lightweight Rifle mockups (though it still is designed after the OTS 89 Flat Railed Handguard). The "Deciduous" skin also gives the rifle a completely different pistol grip and an HK416 stock with fictional adapter which appears to be based on part of the Masada stock. These are also selectable options in the customization menu without the paintjobs.
Inspecting the magazine of the "Ashi" blueprint Type 89 during the start of a match. Note the map "Gobi" (added during the "Redline" event) is based on the pavillion at lake Yueya Quan (Crecent Lake) in Gansu Province, China.

L85A2

The L85A2 was added to the game as the "SA80" under the light machine gun category, unlocked at level 49. In the early builds it had an incorrect burst option but this was removed later. By default it is fitted with an HK HKey A3 handguard, Harris Bipod, Magpul PMAG D-60, and non-standard flash hider. It can be customized with three barrel lengths and several handguards.

Note the HK HKey A3 handguard has different slots from reality and the front sight mounted on the upper rail (which is likely based on an airsoft version). The handguard is called the "SA80 L22A SAS CQB Handguard". The barrel is called the "SA80 LMG Barrel" and is identical to the "SA80 Standard Barrel", except that one can be modified with different grips.

L86A2

L86A2 with SUSAT scope - 5.56x45mm NATO
The L86A2 build in the customization menu using the "SA80 Marksman Barrel" (likely referencing the DMR version of the L86). Note the rear grip isn't available, neither is the L86 handguard, outrigger and bipod. In reality the DD handguard cannot fit with the L86's receiver, though given this build is built off of the L85 this point is somewhat moot.

L22A2

Note in reality the L22A2 has never been used with the carry handle (the production version of the L22A2 lacks the front sight dovetail mount on its gas block as well). In addition to this, the barrel and gas piston are much too long.

M4A1

The M4A1 was added to the game as the "M4 MWS", unlocked at level 35.

MWS-15

In what appears to be its first media appearance, the MWS-15 was added in Season 4 "Evergreen" Battlepass and appears as "WSW-15" and is chambered in .300 Blackout. By default it is fitted with the longer barrel and handguard, but the handguard is modeled slightly differently from the real deal than a lot of the in-game weapons.

ORSIS T-5000

The ORSIS T-5000 appears in-game. In the earliest release footage, it was named the "T-5000", while the Early Access version and final release names it "Tochnost", which refers to a militarized version of the OSRIS T-5000. It is obtained in level 19.

UKM-2000P

The UKM-2000P originally appeared in the beta as "UKM-2000", but was changed to "UKM" due to copyright issues. It is the default LMG as of the patch 0.2. It can be configured with parts from the various UKM variants. The bipod is fitted on the forward handguard rail while the grips are fitted on the rear handguard rail much like reality.

Checking the inside at the start of the round. The soldier then slams the top cover down and smacks the charging handle forward to make sure its in battery. Note that the bolt should be locked back, as even though the system was changed from pull to push-through it still requires the bolt to be back lest the soldier wants the cam to be damaged among other issues.
The standard spawn / first time equip animation involves simply cocking the UKM.
When switching weapons the carry handle is used.
Holding the UKM-2000P outside the Sala Kongresowa (Warsaw Congress Hall) and Palace of Culture and Science. Note the symbol on the Polish flag is a kotwica (anchor), which was used by Polish resistance in WW2.
Cocking the MG at the start of the reload; this is done regardless if there was ammo left or not. Note the aforementioned Złote Tarasy in the background.

Panzerfaust 3

The Panzerfaust 3 was added in Season 2 "Operation Sunstorm" and can use three different rockets. For some reason the folding pistol grip has been changed to an AR-pattern grip which can be swapped to other AR grips. By default it is fitted with a Firefield MG Kemper XL Machine Gun Reflex Sight, but it can be swapped with other red dot optics and low power scopes. The standard rocket does much more damage than the RPG-7's PG-7 at the cost of only carrying two rockets. The IT-600 does even more damage to vehicles with the drawback of a smaller explosion radius while the DM32 has a greater explosion radius while having reduced vehicle damage. The Panzerfaust 3 is also much heavier than the RPG-7, forcing players to pick lower class armor and lighter primary weapons as a result.

PPZR Piorun

The PPZR Piorun was added post release and is unlocked at level 23. It can fit a variety of sights and strangly can use AR-pattern grips. By default it is fitted with a ATN Thor-HD 384 Thermal Sight.

After firing the soldier will then disarm the launcher by unfolding and rotating the folding handle upwards and forward (then folding it again) before tossing the launcher.
They will then pull out a new launcher, unfolding the handle and rotating it upwards and backwards which then arms the launcher (then folding down the handle after).

RPG-7

The RPG-7 is unlocked by default as of the 0.2 patch. It is fitted with a PG-7V rocket, custom picatinny rail under the dovetail rail (similar to the Airtronic PSRL-1) with KAC Forward Pistol Grip and a custom mounting bracket with flip iron sights fitted to it (it doesn't use the RPG-7's factory iron sights). The bracket by default is the Midwest Industries Gen 2 AK Side Mount, but can be changed to the ZenitCo B-13 "Klassika". Strangely the Midwest Industries name is unchanged while the Zenit name has been changed to "ZakaCo".
