Pistols

Luger P08

Numerous German officers including SS-Standartenführer (Colonel) Gortz (John van Dreelen) carry the Luger P08. The pistol is seen in the hands of Col. Joseph L. Ryan (Frank Sinatra) and Maj. Eric Fincham (Trevor Howard) as well.

Beretta M1934

Battaglia (Adolfo Celi) and Captain Oriani (Sergio Fantoni) are shown with very smallish holstered sidearms which (judging from the curved tip at the end of the magazine) appear to be the Beretta Model 1934.

Submachine Guns

Beretta Model 38/42

Some of the German soldiers appear to be armed with Beretta Model 38/42. These weapons are also used by the POW's.

MP40

The MP40 is used by both German and Italian forces as well as by various POWs when they are disguised as German guards including Col. Joseph L. Ryan (Frank Sinatra), Maj. Eric Fincham (Trevor Howard), and Sgt. Bostick (Brad Dexter).
