The following weapons were used in Season 6 of the television series The Shield:

Pistols

Smith & Wesson 4506-1

Detective Vic Mackey (Michael Chiklis) carries a Smith & Wesson 4506-1 .45ACP pistol as his sidearm throughout the series. The 4506 pistol had previously been used in the film Training Day (2001) by Denzel Washington.

The Beretta 8045 Cougar F pistol is the main service pistol carried by Detective Ronnie Gardocki (David Rees Snell) and Detective Shane Vendrell (Walton Goggins) as well as Captain David Aceveda (Benito Martinez).

Beretta 92FS

The Beretta 92FS is the main service pistol for many police officers in the show, including Detective Curtis Lemansky (Kenneth Johnson), Sgt. Danni Sofer (Catherine Dent), and Officer Julien Lowe (Michael Jace).

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is carried by Det. Claudette Wyms (CCH Pounder). Jon Kavanaugh (Forest Whitaker) also carries a Glock 17, although his is clearly a first generation model (a rare choice for a cop in the 2000s).

In "Baptism by Fire" (S06E02), Kavanaugh (Forest Whitaker) turns in his badge and his gun, which is, oddly, a gen 1 Glock 17. You can tell because of its smooth front strap, pencil thin barrel and non-captured guide rod.

Mossberg 500 Cruiser

The Mossberg 500 Cruiser is used throughout the series, usually by Det. Curtis "Lemonhead" Lemansky (Kenneth Johnson).
