M82
Shouldnt this be on M82 page ? Its basically just bullpup, right ?
- It's magazine-fed, but bolt-action. The 82 series are semiautomatic rifles. StanTheMan 14:57, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Does anyone know if there is a name difference between the the original M95 with the M82 style scope rail, and the current one with the M107 style one? Below is the original M95, which appears in Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames (not 100% about the last one, model is kinda crappy). The one with the longer rail was developed for the M107 program so it had the same improvements that the M82 had to turn it into the M107, but as the improved M95 wasn't adopted it didn't get a new name. --commando552 (talk) 08:21, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
That's the M90, the model that preceded the M95, the updates to the rail system was part of the production upgrade the ended production of the M90 and started with the M95. Hope it helps Recon42 (talk) 13:11, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
- No it isn't, however the original M90 and the M95 are very similar, the only differences are that the M95 moved the pistol grip and trigger slightly further forward to make inserting the magazine easier, and the bolt handle was swept backwards. Look at the image history of the later model railed M95 image and you will see a picture of the M90 as the original image. --commando552 (talk) 15:24, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
.416 Barrett M95?
Just something I've always wondered, Barrett themselves offer an M82 and M99 in .416 Barrett but I haven't seen a reference to an M95 version. Just curious if it would be at all feasible? Draco122 (talk) 07:43, 16 August 2014 (EDT)
It would seem likely that the M95 is chambered in .416 Barrett, however the offical Barrett website says only .50 BMG for calibers under the "Specs" tab of the rifle's page. --talk (talk) 22;48, 16 August 2014 (EDT)
Magazine Compatibility
Are the M95's 5-round magazines interchangeable with the M82 series' 10-rounders? It would make sense if they were, but I haven't seen any photos of either gun with the other's magazine. Pyr0m4n14c (talk) 19:25, 29 March 2020 (EDT)
