Soldiers of Fortune
|
Soldiers of Fortune is a 2012 action film starring Christian Slater as a former special forces soldier who is hired by an adventure company to escort a group of wealthy men into a real war zone while keeping them safe. The movie was filmed primarily in the Ukraine and the cast includes James Cromwell, Dominic Monaghan, Sean Bean, and Ving Rhames. The film had a very limited theatrical run in the US before being released on video.
The following weapons were used in the film Soldiers of Fortune:
Pistols
Beretta 92FS
The Beretta 92FS is wielded by several characters, including Craig McCenzie (Christian Slater) and Mason (Colm Meaney).
CZ 75B
A CZ 75B is wielded by Dimidov (Sean Bean).
Blow F06
At his residence, Haussman (James Cromwell) is seen pulling a stainless pistol and firing it at a bottle. This pistol appears to be a Blow F06 blank-fire only handgun. This pistol is also used throughout the film by other characters as well.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
Craig is seen with what appears to be a suppressed Heckler & Koch MP5K during the opening mission in Afghanistan. Since this weapon is actually seen firing, it's likely that this weapon is actually a Blow Crazy blank-firing replica modeled after the MP5K.
Ekol ASI Uzi
An Ekol ASI Uzi is seen in the hands of guards during an arms deal. Women aboard Dimidov's boat also open fire with this weapon.
Assault Rifles
Colt M4A1
Mason's operatives are armed with what appear to be replicas of the M4A1.
AKS-74U
Craig (Christian Slater) uses an AKS-74U for much of the film, starting from the training base in Romania. One of Lupo's mercenaries also uses an AKS-74U in the attack on the rebel camp.
AKS-74
What appear to be AKS-74 rifles with black synthetic furniture are also used in the film.
FN SCAR-L CQC
An FN SCAR-L CQC can be seen in the video advertising the project "Soldier of Fortune".
Machine Guns
PK
A heavily-customized PK machine gun is the main firearm wielded by Grimaud (Ving Rhames). This particular machine gun has been fitted with a mock MG42-type barrel above the real barrel to fit a scope and M16-type carry handle on a rail. Unmodified PKs are also seen in the film. The machine guns used in the film are original PKs rather than the later PKMs, as noted by their fluted rear barrels and larger curved gas blocks.
RPK Light Machine Gun
An RPK light machine gun is seen on an arms table as well as wielded by men employed by Mason (Colm Meaney).
Vektor SS-77
A Vektor SS-77 machine gun is used by one of Mason's mercenaries.
Sniper Rifles
Benelli R1
A Benelli R1 semi-automatic rifle is used by Haussman (James Cromwell).
Mk 12 Special Purpose Rifle
An Mk 12 SPR is used by a Special Forces soldier to cover Craig during the mission in Afghanistan.
SVD Dragunov
An SVD Dragunov is found and then used by Haussman (James Cromwell).
Launchers
RPG-22
Dimidov is seen using what appears to be an RPG-22 rocket launcher to take out a pirate boat. Grimaud also picks up what appears to be an RPG-22, and finally uses it against Colonel Lupo's boat.
