Smith & Wesson 4000 pistol series
The Smith & Wesson 4000 series was a lineup of .40 S&W handguns in Smith & Wesson's third generation of semi-automatics. Due to the immense popularity of the .40 S&W cartridge in the 1990s, the 4000s were a large series that consisted of sixteen variants. The full size variants consisted of the 4003, 4004, 4006, 4026, 4043, 4044, 4046, 410 and the 411. The compact variants consisted of the 4013, 4014, 4040, 4053, 4054 and 4056. There was also a subcompact variant: the CS40.

Smith & Wesson 4004
The Smith & Wesson 4004 is the blued version of the Smith & Wesson 4003, which is like a Smith & Wesson 4006 but with an aluminum alloy frame.
