The following weapons were used in the television series Sea Patrol:


Browning Hi-Power

The Browning Hi-Power is the standard pistol of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Australian Navy crewmen are prominently seen with the weapon. The ships XO Lieutenant Kate McGregor and Petty Officer Bosun Pete 'Buffer' Tomaszewski have older model Hi-Powers.

Inglis Hi-Power

The ships XO Lieutenant Kate McGregor and Petty Officer Bosun Pete 'Buffer' Tomaszewski use the Canadian model of the Browning, the Inglis Hi-Power as noted by its distinctive humped rear sight.

Smith & Wesson Model 60

When checking a boat that had reportedly been boarded by pirates, a Smith & Wesson Model 60 was discovered in a drawer. The grips appear to be an after market addition.

Heckler & Koch USP is carried by a smuggler in season 1. Also used by Rick Gallagher during the last episode of season 1.

Beretta 92F/FS

A Beretta 92F/FS carried by a smuggler in season 1. Also used by a smuggler in season 4 episode 15.

A Taurus PT92 carried by a drug dealer in the 8th episode of season 2. Another one was used by a terrorist in season 5 episode 6.

CZ 75

A few "Pre-B" CZ 75s appear many times as a substitution for similar looking HPs.

ASIO agent Madelaine Cruise carries a Walther PP as her weapon of choice.

F88 Austeyr

The standard-issue infantry rifle of the Australian Defense Force is the F88 Austeyr.

Norinco Type 56

Several Norinco Type 56 rifles were seen being carried by Rebels, as well as several Mercenaries, in the second season.

Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE)

Buffer and Kate are seen using a Lee Enfield Mk III* (SMLE) while in the jungle during (S03E09).

SKS rifle

A SKS rifle can be seen in the hands of thugs several times during the series.

Russian Simonov Type 45 aka the Russian SKS rifle - 7.62x39mm. The Russian SKS has a milled receiver and a blade bayonet. The rifles were issued with hardwood or laminated stocks. This example has a hardwood stock.

Machine Guns

The RPD light machine gun is seen being carried by a large rebel early on in the second season premiere.

Submachine Gun

Heckler & Koch MP5A3

Early in the second season several criminals escaped from the Hammersley after stabbing CPO Andy 'Charge' Thorpe with a screwdriver. They then armed themselves with two Heckler & Koch MP5A3's. They were also seen being used by Mercenaries.

The SAS patrol carried by Hammersley was armed with MP5s.

An Uzi is carried by an illegal fisherman in season 4 episode 14.

Micro Uzi

During episode four of series III, Mike and Spider are made to carry explosives at gunpoint by a Micro Uzi toting thug.

An MP40 is carried by a thug in season 4 episode 15.

Mossberg 500

A Mossberg 500 is used by Buffer in the second season episode "Shadow Line". The scene of him jumping out of a RHIB with the shotgun was also used as part of the opening credits for season 2.

Remington 870

A Remington 870 is used by several characters during season 4. In reality this is the shotgun used by Royal Australian Navy.
