Overview

In Renegade X multiplayer, the game pits players in to two teams: Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod. All players start as a basic Soldier, and will respawn as one once they have been killed. Both teams have a variety of free characters, such as Engineer, Marksman and Shotgunner, as well as special characters, who can be acquired with in-game credits. Each player has a timed C4 and Silenced Pistol by default. C4 can be replaced with grenades for free, and the Silenced Pistol can be replaced by a free Machine Pistol, or they can use credits to switch to Heavy Pistol or Carbine. Credits can also be used to purchase combat vehicles or special weapon strikes, such as A-10 strike, AC-130 strike or even a nuclear missile.

Both teams have Harvesters, which gather poisonous Tiberium crystals to be processed at the teams' Refinery. Once ready, all players of the team gain in-game credits. Players can also kill enemies and damage or destroy their base structures, or repair their own, to gain credits.

The handguard is borrowed from SPAS-12.

The weapon bears some resemblance with the M41A Pulse Rifle from Aliens, such as the large carry handle, the rectangular handguard, and the presence of a red LED round counter (but on the back of the carry handle rather than on the right side of the weapon).

Idle.
