Raquel Welch (1940-2023; born Jo Raquel Tejada) was an American actress and international sex symbol whose 5 decade career included such films as Hannie Caulder, Myra Breckinridge, Fantastic Voyage, and Bandolero! as well as One Million Years B.C.. In 1974, she was the recipient of the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture Actress in a Musical or Comedy for her performance in the 1973 feature film adaptation ofThe Three Musketeers. She also was the mother of actress Tahnee Welch. She passed away on February 15, 2023 at the age of 82 after a short illness.
