Puppet Master: Axis of Evil
Puppet Master: Axis of Evil is a 2010 horror film from Full Moon Productions and the ninth canonical installment in their now-eponymous Puppet Master franchise. Set in 1939, the film picks up right before the opening scene from the first film Puppet Master and follows a young man named Danny Coogan (Levi Fiehler) who takes posession of Toulon's puppets (as well as the secret of their animation) following his assassination. Barred from serving in the military due to a polio-induced limp, Danny decides to use Toulon's secret to both take revenge on his killers and to do his own part to thwart the Nazis.
Released direct to DVD in 2010, Axis of Evil marked a noticable uptic in quality from the previous two films and a return to the storyline from Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge.
The following weapons were used in the film Puppet Master: Axis of Evil:
Luger P08
The two Nazi hitmen (Klaus (Aaron Riber) and Max (Tom Sandoval)) who are sent to retrieve Toulon's research are armed with Luger P08 pistols throughout the film.
Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action
In the footage from the first Puppet Master film, Andre Toulon (William Hickey) is seen with a Smith & Wesson .44 Double Action revolver while waiting for the Nazi assassins to reach him.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
When Max and Klaus force their way into Toulon's room, his corpse is seen clutching an anachronistic Smith & Wesson Model 36 instead of the S&W .44 Double Action that he is seen commiting suicide with. Being 21 years since the original fim, it's likely that Full Moon no longer had access to the original prop weapon from the first film.
MP40
Ozu (Ada Zhou Fang), the Japanese sabateur hiding in Chinatown, has two bodyguards, one of whom is usually armed with an MP40 submachine gun.
