Patrick Macnee, (1922 - 2015), was a British actor, most commonly associated with the television show The Avengers and his role as John Steed. He also had guest roles in other televisions series such as Magnum P.I., Battlestar Galactica (the original series) and Columbo as well as appearing in the Bond film A View to a Kill.
