The Mecar M72 hand grenade is a modern fragmentation grenade manufactured by Mecar of Belgium. The M72 is the current hand grenade of the Belgian Land Component (aka Belgian Army). The training version is the M73. Though Mecar is based in Belgium, they are owned by ADG, which is an American Conglomerate based in Washington, D.C.. Mecar also sells its ordnance to clients in the Middle East, including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel.
