La Haine (Hate) is a 1995 French drama written, and directed by Mathieu Kassovitz starring Vincent Cassel, Saïd Taghmaoui and Hubert Koundé as disenfranchised youth living in the projects outside of Paris.

Vinz (Vincent Cassel) carries a snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 629 for much of the film. It is described as a "snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Magnum 44" and as a stolen police weapon. He allows his friends Saïd (Saïd Taghmaoui) and Hubert (Hubert Koundé) to handle it as well. "Asterix" (François Levantal) pretends to play Russian Roulette with it.

The first shot of Vinz's revolver, right down the muzzle.

Hubert holds it.

Saïd plays with it as Vinz gives him a hair cut.

Vinz draws it on a cop while trying to escape.

Sawn-off Double Barreled Shotgun

Abdel's brother (uncredited) tries shooting Samir (Karim Belkhadra) with a Sawn-off Double Barreled Shotgun.

This is the actual screen used Spanish Zabala Shotgun held and used by The Skull (Geno Silva) in Scarface - 12 gauge

Samir takes cover as Abdel's brother takes a shot at him.

Abdel's brother surrendered his weapon when confronted by other cops.

Colt Detective Special

Samir (Karim Belkhadra) draws his Colt Detective Special on the gunmen.

Colt Detective Special 3rd Gen - .38 Special

A wounded Samir holds his DS on the gunmen while other cops arrive on the scene.

One of the uniformed officers carries a Colt Python.

Glock 17

"Asterix" (renamed "Snoopy" in the Criterion edition, due Americans being unfamiliar with the character of Asterix) plays with a Glock 17 when visited by Vinz, Saïd and Hubert.
