HELL DOGS - IN THE HOUSE OF BAMBOO - (Japanese title: ヘルドッグス, Herudoggusu, also known as Hell Dogs) is a 2022 Japanese crime drama film based on the 2017 novel of the same name (not to be confused with its 2020-2022 manga adaptation) by Akio Fukamachi. The film follows Shogo "Tak" Kanetaka (Junichi Okada), a revenge-seeking former police officer who is assigned to infiltrate the yakuza family Toshokai's Hell Dogs unit, and befriend the psychopathic Hideki "Muro" Murooka (Kentaro Sakaguchi), one of the family's fixers. The film was released to Japanese theaters on September 16, 2022, with a worldwide Netflix-exclusive release following on December 16 of the same year.

Two Triad thugs are seen using Tokarev TT-33s in a flashback to Shogo Kanetaka's time as a police officer. Upon seeing the thugs while on patrol, Kanetaka correctly identifies their handguns as Tokarevs and attempts to inform his superior, though he isn't believed until the Triad members rob a supermarket and kill four women with their Tokarevs two hours later.
