Deep Cover is a 1992 crime thriller directed by Bill Duke and starring Laurence Fishburne as LAPD officer Russell Stevens who goes undercover and poses as a drug dealer Johnny Hull in order to infiltrate a drug ring.

Revolvers

Colt New Service

In the opening scene that takes place in Russell Stevens' childhood his father Russell Stevens Sr. (Glynn Turman) uses a revolver in an attempt to rob a liquor store. It looks like a Colt revolver, most likely a Colt New Service.

The revolver is seen at the left. The shape of the frame and ejector rod look similar to New Service model.

Colt Detective Special 3rd Gen.

A 3rd Gen. Colt Detective Special is seen in hands of Gúzman's bodyguard in the climactic scene. Russell Stevens (Laurence Fishburne) uses a suppressed snub nose revolver in one scene. The contour of the top-strap and front sight ramp matches with the 3rd Gen. Colt DS although the barrel is covered with an unusual faceted shroud, supposedly used for attaching a suppressor.

Unidentifiable snub nose revolver

Det. Hernandez (Julio Oscar Mechoso) holds a snub nose revolver. It is seen only in a distance and cannot be identified.

Pistols

Taurus PT92AFS

Posing as a drug dealer Johnny Hull, Russell Stevens (Laurence Fishburne) carries a stainless steel Taurus PT92AFS.

During the conflict with Felix Barbossa (Gregory Sierra) Stevens' pistol switches to a compact version that appears to be a Taurus PT92CS.

Numerous criminals and police officers and detectives carry Beretta 92FS pistols.

In the climactic scene Gúzman's bodyguard (at the left) disarms Det. Taft (Clarence Williams III) and holds him at gunpoint with his own Beretta.

Heckler & Koch P9S

A Heckler & Koch P9S is David Jason's (Jeff Goldblum) weapon of choice. Due to a continuity error, both pre- and post-1973 models are seen.

A Walther PP is a personal weapon of DEA Agent Gerald Carver (Charles Martin Smith). Russell Stevens (Laurence Fishburne) takes his pistol and uses it during the confrontation with Anton Gallegos.

In one scene Betty McCutcheon (Victoria Dillard) holds a pocket pistol that appears to be a stainless Beretta 21A Bobcat.

Gallegos' bodyguard Molto (Alex Colon) carries a Smith & Wesson 4506 pistol in several scenes.

In the opening scene a liquor store owner (Ron Thompson) appears with an Ithaca 37 shotgun.

A pump action rifle with a sniper scope is seen in hands of Det. Hernandez (Julio Oscar Mechoso) in one scene. It is most likely a Remington Model 760.
